What are the file formats you are trying to burn? Are they copyrighted ? You can download Windows Media Player and many more freeware programs at FILEHIPPO : http://www.filehippo.com/. Look under "Audio and Video". That said is your laptop equiped with a DVD/CD burner? I was lookin at the specs: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10826_div/10826_div.html It doesn't say you have a CD burner , ony a CD rom drive. That does not mean you don't have one. Open My Computer and right click on the CD ron , Properties, and Google the model of CD rom.
What kind of burner did you use, are you using a nero burner, try to use nero or power to go, you can select them a a 32x and 52x. You need to install a nero burner there are icon there that is usually a guide on how to burn you can read some instructions.
Hi, Perform a system restore and take the computer back to a time before the problems started with burning, or you can download a different media player and try burning with that, real player as a good bit of software to use for burning and Nero is too (Nero is a devoted burning suite)
Could be a missing driver file. Or the plug between the 2 could be undone internally. Or the "Properties" settings could be unchecked.
I had this same problem w/ mine. Took me 4 months to figure it out. Got it working again but couldnt play audio cds, only dvds.
Go under control panel to hardware & find out exactly the name of the maker of the drive. It should be in there.
Search that maker ie ~ Philips CD Rom with Sonic DLA burning software.
I got pretty lucky finding info specifically for EMachine. It's a generic computer so shouldnt have any problem finding info about the drive & the software. Perhaps even look for Updates. This could help also.
try to play a song from original cds.
maybe you brunt it in mp3 file, or its a different format. try to burn your song to cd-r.
if still, try to use nero to burner..
if it wont play your original cds and burnt cds, then the optical lens or the board is broken.
hope I helped you.
well it could be many reasons why it wont write your burner but first what software you are using for burning. it happens to me before using media player when i try to burn music. the reason was i haven't configure my media player to use my dvd burner for burning because i have dvd burner and a cd burner installed. Now maybe you try to reinstall it using your dvd driver the one which with your dvd burner when you first bought it.
Hello!
What particular application software did you use in burning the audio cds?
