Samsung g800 network lock

I got a new phone samsung g800 and sent it over to my son in the states and when he put his sim into it it says incorect simand network lock can any one help on that

This one's pretty simple.

Most European phones simply aren't meant to work on the U.S. network.

Besides that, there's possibly a difference in service providers.

If there's not, then there's the service area difference- y'know, Europe vs. The U.S.

And... If it's not that, then you might want your son to run into the store and ask them about it.

You still need your sim card inserted. Unlocked simply means you are not locked to only one network.

Which network operator do u have?
Try..to enter any number.........until it shows pin blocked

then it it Show "ENTER PUK" But dont enter Any thing wrong or it will lock ur sim
Then try calling on the customer care number with same operator by some one else cell......
keep browsing until u hear.. "PUK sim lock" Then it will ask ur cell number Enter It it will tell u the PUK and ur done

probably your phone is sim locked.. this means it can be used only on some networks while others are forbidden.

As this lock is software based you can remove it by installing another firmware, the software which run your phone.

You can search the internet for new and unlocked firmwares and then install one on the phone.

This will broke your warranty terms .. but it's the only way.
