Frigidaire 17.8 cu. ft. / 504 liter Commercial Freezer FFC18K1CW Logo

I got a commercial frontload coin op washer for dirt cheap sold as scrap, but brand new. There was a manilla envelope without any paper work taped to the inside of the machine. The number on this envelope is 134992500, is this the model number? The guy gave me large size brain board with it from anothe same model and told me there was something wrong with it and to change this circuit board. I ran the machine with the old parts first. The machine seemed to go through all the cycles and even went into high speed spin. I ran the first run with the back of the machine off. I had to unplug the machine 2 times real quick because the water pump was froze and needed to thaw more. No problem, the water pump spit out ice a half hour later and when I plugged it in the machine kept going through the cycles. The machine went into high spin and ran like a top. I put the back on the machine and ran it again. This time all it would do is a slow back and forth tumble all the way until the machine kicked off and finshed its full cycle. I than put the spare mother board or brain whatever the large ciruite board is called in the bottom back left corner, plugged it in and it ran through the cylcles and did the same exact thing. It would not kick into high spin at all. just a slow tumble back and forth. So now I figure its not the main circuite board I guess I should put the original board back in the machine. One more thing. when I ran the machine again I thought maby the timming was off between the coin timmer and the timmer in the front of the machine that customers can see. Is this timming thing even possible or will the machine correct its self automatically? Where should the plastic wheel start at, in the coin box timmer, so I can get it at a new start up?

The problem was never solved. I never got to chat with anyone about anything at all, and I dont have a ******* freezer. If I was able to chat with someone I would have been able to get the proper model number from my washing machine.

We have a failed condenser fan motor which was a 1/12 horsepower 1300 RPM - 115v We got a blower motor replacement from our vendor which was a 1/20 horsepower 1500RPM - 115v The motor is tripping out on...

Motor usually trips out as it is overloaded. Check the rated amp draw on the replacement motor verses the OEM motor. OEM motors usually are built a little different to meet certain conditions in their design. You may need to get one. Also, make sure your condenser is very clean so as to not cause overloading the motor. Could have been the reason for the first one to fail.

Looking for true freezer defrost heat element for t-49f

Most commercial refrigeration supply houses should be able to help you with getting the heater or if not at least give you a steer
as to where to go or who to contact. Some are really helpful, others can be real jerks. Sorry but without knowing the area you are in I cannot give you more info than that. Did you Google the Brand name of the freezer ?????

Bin control

The bin control shuts it off when the ice bin is full. Without a bin control it should keep making ice and never stop.

Not sure which freezer to buy?

If you want a manual defrost model they are all almost the same.
Manuel defrost is very simple, just compressor and thermostat. No fans or defrost system. The true indication of quality is the energy star rating. Look at the operating cost. The better made ones cost less to operate. Just shop by price and features you want. High temp warning, rapid freeze etc. Normally I would stay clear of the White/Westinghouse garbage(Gibson,Kelvinator, Frigidaire, etc.) in washers and dryers but in refrigeration they aren't too bad. It is really hard to tell anymore who actually makes what. They all seem to be buying each other out. GE sold out and doesn't make their own anymore, Whirlpool bought out Maytag, Jenn air, and Amana. Kenmore/Sears is mostly made by Whirlpool. I have trouble telling things apart anymore.

Commercial Freezers

I have worked in a lot of kitchens and don't really have a preferance. The top mounted compressor is better for you as it is easier to service and leaves more cabinet room. Dirt and dust also stay near the floor. YOu won't have to clean the filter as often up high The disadvantage to this in a kitchen is that kitchens are hot and up high is hotter still. Order a cheaper model. No glass doors, no stainless steel. You don't need these features.

Waterpump of Ice Machine KM-500MAH-E

Always attempt to have Hoshizaki pumps rebuilt when possible. The parts are cheap compared to buying a new pump. Check ebay from time to time I have just started tearing units down and selling the used parts, that are still functional. Sold that pump for $75 last week
