How do I reset the Parental Control. I cannot remember the password originally used in setting the VCHIP.

Try to press power up button, channel up and volume minus at the same time. This should resolve your problem.

I just bought a used Sharp 27F630 tv and the V-Chip lock is set. Any generic code I try doesn't work and I have attempted to reset it but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

1) Hit [MENU]. Press [CH up / down] to select ?V-CHIP SET UP?, then hit [VOL up].

Enter 4-digit access code with the Number buttons. If you have not set
up your personal access code, enter 0000 (default access code).

When the message "INPUT SECRET NO." appears, press the Ch UP and Ch DOWN keys ON THE TV SET (Not the remote) until the message disappears. Then press "MENU" two times on the remote to exit. Press vol-on tv& child lock on Remote together. Press mode on Remote using channel +/- to select child lock select new pin press mode E

on my Sharp 36R-s400. Go to menu , then parental control. When dispaly asks for secret number,
press and hold volume up and channel down simultaneously until message is cleared.
This turns off parental control and clears the password.
