That depends!
In fact, the formatting process could not completely erase the contained data off from a hard drive in these days, especially as doing a quick format. These lost data could be easily restored at the aid of a data recovery freeware.
However, once the lost files are overwritten by anything new on this drive, they would be gone permanently.
Therefore, I hope you've not rewritten them yet!

If you formatted a drive there is no way to recover the deleted files. You can only recover a file of they were simply deleted, not formated.

I have accidentally formatted my partition drive f

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in computer hard drive erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the computer hard drive , it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try asoftech data recovery program, which can recover data after deeply scanning your computer hard drive to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted. download the software from link below

About a month ago I lost all my pictures, favorites and had to reload my Norton. Everything is still in the computer somewhere, only I don't know what happened or how to find and get them back. Please help...

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some good file recovery software. One I used to use is this data recovery program which you can download from site below
