I'm trying to connect my cablevision coax to my Pioneer VSX-1019 reveiver so I can listen to FM radio through the tuner. The antenna connection on the receiver is a female European PAL (also called as...

Is this what you need? http://cgi.ebay.com/4pc-Gold-Plated-Aerial-Female-Aerial-Female-Adapter-/180435080974?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a02c4d70e
although I would be surprised if the signal you have would be correct to supply your fm tuner, you may be better off with something like this (depends on how good your fm signal is locally) http://cgi.ebay.com/FM-AERIAL-KIT-RADIO-RECEIVERS-BALUN-UNIVERSAL-/310283558296?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item483e575d98#ht_2068wt_876
Alternatively, and I know this sounds crude, poke a long piece of wire into the centre of the aerial socket on your tuner and pin it to the wall or a door frame, it often works if you have a decent signal to begin with.

I have a pioneer VSX-1019AH-k receiver connected to a Samsung LED tv via HDMI. I am trying to use Closed Caption, but when I click on CC on the TV remote it says Not Available. Any help getting CC to work?

close captioning on a tv is usually only available for use when the antenna inputs are being used. it has no way to process a cc from an auxiliary source. you should have the capability of cc with a menu item in the cable or satellite box and with the subtitle command in your dvd. good luck

I just bought a vsx-1019ah receiver. I connected

Check if your KuroLink is on or off. There are a lot of problems that users have been having with the KuroLink on. Since you have a Pioneer display, KuroLink might help in switching both the receiver and the display on and off together, but my advice to you would be play around with the settings (in your case, especially KuroLink). Also remember, the KuroLink is on by default i.e. if you've never changed this setting, it probably is on.
Hope this solution works, else check out the Official Thread on Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. There are a lot of helpful people out there.

I have a motorolla DSR505 sattelite receiver that I want to connect to my Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K audio/video receiver. The sattelite receiver has a DVI output jack so I have a DVI to HDMI cable to connect it...

The DVI output usually transmits only video (I'm almost 90% sure about this). It would be better if you did not use the DVI to HDMI cable. Receivers and displays can be very picky when it comes to using HDMI. Your Motorola DSR505 has other output options on its rear. I would suggest using the Component out for video (the 3 outputs colored green, blue and red) and either an optical or coaxial for the audio. The Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K has the required inputs. Of course, you would require new component and coaxial/optical cables to do the job.
Hope this helps. If you're still in a tangle, you can consult the Official Thread on the Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. There are a lot of helpful people out there.

Need to connect an indoor FM antenna to the receiver the 75 ohm connection is only bare wire

the indoor antenna you have must have a screw on connector and the receiver has a smooth connector or you would already have it hooked up. Go to Radio Shack and buy a connector that turns the coax into a slip on style.

Pioneer-vsx-9500s radio won't work with cable

You cannot plug cable from the wall into a receiver, you will blow the tuner card.  Use the supplied antenna or go to radio shack and ask them for an fm antenna.

Hello all;;;;;; i have a pioneer vsx-9500s,,,,the problem is i ran cable to my reciever so my fm radio will work but it doesn't,,,,,,,,i checked the cable on a tv and it worked ,,,,so i know the line is...

Nonsense. FM is included in MOST tv cable subscriptions- make sure your subscription includes this service. Do you have another receiver/tuner to test with?
Check all the connections between the cable entrance and your tuner; eliminate all splitters for testing. If you can get another tuner to work on your cable, it may be time to check into your tuner-
There is no difference in signal level between tv and fm- your receiver is not gonna burn up! If it has a 75-ohm cable input, use it!

I'd like to know where the vcr cable & cable wire from wall

(I own 2 VSX-D903S Units.)

There are NO optical (Toslink) or coaxial connections for Satellite or Cable-TV on this Pioneer unit.

The coaxial connector on the receiver is for connection to an external antenna for FM Tuner (radio) reception only.

Your cable line from the wall would go to your Cable Box, or a "cable-ready" TV or VCR. You would then connect the composite (YLR) or S-video output A/V (S+LR) connection to the VCR 1 input on the back of the receiver. Connect your TV L/R audio and S-video or Composite video output to the TV in connection on the Receiver. (Connect the Composite TV-out connection to a composite video-in connection on the TV.)
