I have a Calibre 3100 but cannot set the date on it. It is a white faced dress watch.

The problem, as I have just discovered, is that when you go to the Citizen watch website listed above, you will get no help at all for the caliber 3100, "No document found..."

Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 8700... it shows date day as "Thursday" and the date is 17....it should be Wednesday.
Pull the winder 1/2 way out and rotate it to set the correct day and date
