Playstation3 not powering on also not reading any discs ...how do u fix both of those solutions...and where can you find the parts to fix it and also how to fix it

These are to new to go tampering with.
possible problems:- power supply unit/fuse/motherboard Fault.
If it,s not powering on, then how can you determine that it,s not reading disks ?
disk read error. Possible Faulty/Weak Laser Unit.

Solution:- Buy An XBOX 360. Same graphical Quality, been out longer, bigger game availability. Less problems And Hassles.

seems like you need to go buy a lens cleaner from bestbuy or something. Run it repeatedly untill it works. sometimes it takes a while. But it will work after. please rate@
you need to
purchase a lazer disc cleaner it looks and works just like a normal dvd disc
but it has brushes on it that when put through the player brushes the dust of
the laser lens this needs to be done on a regular bases to keep your lazer
working to its optimum level and hense fixing your problem.

There is a known issue if you have a original 40-60GB Playstation3. What has happened is the Blu-ray laser has become damaged or is dirty. What you can try to do is clean the laser by using a CD cleaner which if you dont own will only cost about £5. If this does not fix your problem then it is most likely the lens. If your Playstation3 will play DVD's or Music CD's then it is the lasor to read Playstation games. You will need to ring the sony hotline which is free of charge. There you can speak to an assistance who can point you in the right direction. If you have had your playstation under 1 year then you will have a warranty meaning a free replacement with should only take up to about 3-5 working days.
Note: If the console displays an error on screen after you try to play a disc, record it and google the error code. If that doesnt help then post it on here and I can help you further.

Make sure the disc isnt severally scratched, or dirty. Your Playstation3 most likely cannot read the disc because of the following. If it is only that game then I recommend replacing the disc.
