Element electronics FLX2211B - VGA Input Not working I have been using an Element Electronics FLX2211B tv/monitor the past year with no problems - using it primarily as a computer monitor. Yesterday, while using it my daughter accidentally hit input instead of volume. The input changed to Cable. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to show input from PC/VGA in. I have changed the input selector to PC/VGA - the monitor then says No Signal. I have changed cables, computers, turned monitor on/off, etc. and can't get it to recognize signal. Computer/cable works fine on other monitors. When I plug the monitor into the cable tv outlet, it is working fine as a TV (sound/picture). Any thoughts on what may be amiss/how to reset it? thx

    - I'm not using HDMI, using VGA
    - I didn't see anywhere in the Element menu/setup to change HDMI resolution settings. Did you mean i should change the setting on the monitor or on the PC?
    - i changed the display resolution settings on the PC and continue to get "No Signal"

    thx

    Solution #1
May be its a resolution related issue? Did you try flipping through the various HDMI resolutions like 720i, 720p, 1080i and see if it gets the signal? If you haven't done so please do. I am positive that it resolve the issue.

Let me know if it worked.

Connect another monitor to the computer. Once you have the display, change the screen resolution and make sure that it's above 1024 x 768.

Then reconnect the problem monitor and see if that will resolve the problem.

Thank you!

Let me make this a bit more clear. There will be a resolution set on the computer right(ex: 1280*720 being the normal resolution on most computers) This resolution =720p HDMI on the tv. If the resolution on the computer does not match with that on the tv then you will have a blank screen with no signal. Not that your tv does have two resolutions(720p and 1080i)
    http://www.fixya.com/support/p1251846-el...
Read the configuration section of the tutorial below, it does mention changing the resolutions if you don't get an image.

    Hope this helps,
    Sai.

Element 22" will not come on either by the remote or the side pan

Please check the power supply board for bloated capacitors/fuse. If there are any signs on life i.e. turns on, shuts down, green lights come on etc.

Element Electronics FLX2211B 22 in. LCD TV will reset every time

I have run into the same problem with a different model (32 inch from Circuit City). You may have found that there is almost no support from the co or web. I do not have an official solution but have some work arounds that have done the job for me.
WA#1 = after a channel scan tune to a HD/digital channel before you turn the set off. You need to do this each time for several times, because the set when turned on to a regular cable or analog station will default to skip all channels. After several times the set should remember your channels.
WA#2 = after a channel scan, go to the skip channel section of the menu, and if your remote has the colored buttons on the bottom scroll through the channels using the red and green (up and down on this menu) buttons. This apparently helps the set remember not to skip your scanned channels.
These are not glamorous solutions but appear to trick the TV into not re-setting the skip function for the channels.
Best of luck.
