Leaking grease. What type of grease goes into the transmission?
Where is it leaking grease from?Im a hobart tech and service these mixers. When i go into work i will get you the part # for the grease. You would then have to contact your local hobart branch, tell them the part # and pick up the grease.
Hey guys, the part # changes depending on the serial # of the mixer.Call the local branch and they can help you out.jgmilbeg---You dont grease the shaft you just cover the pinion gear in the planetary with grease. If you guys have problems with the part # give me the serial # of your mixers and i will find it.

Bigg T- I have the same problem, I have a leak at where the agitator shaft comes out of the planetary housing. I took the planetary housing off the mixer and only see a bearing on the top and no way to grease the shaft. I called the local hobart shop and they say the problem is usually a bad lower bearing and seal. I figured I would replace both bearings and the seal but don't know how or where to put the grease in.
