I have owned the headphones for about three weeks. Everytime I use them they just turn off after about 10 minutes. I blame the rechargeable battery that they came with, except that when I use AAA batteries, the same thing happens. Can anyone explain this happening? Help!
I have the exact same problem. Try to crank up the volume from your stereo/receiver and lower the volume in the headphones. I think that the headphones goes into standby mode if the volume is to low. Works for me (for two days, so its not really a fact yet ;-) )
I have the same exact problem. My headphone just make a "click" sound and turn off until I unplug the base to rest it.

The base unit turns off after about 10 minutes what to do?
This is a very annoying problem with this unit.
I have to pull the power plug out of the base unit and re-insert it and it comes back on again.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. Implemented your suggestion and I have not have had the problem since.
Fortunately, my Sharp HDTV allows me to turn off the internal speakers and use the volume control to up the output volume to the headphones. I have also split the output so that it goes to both my Sony unit and an external amplifier and speakers.
Thank you for the solution. This issue has been driving me crazy since last May thinking it was a Sony unit problem.
I have the exact same problem. The green light goes out on the transmitter and the sound shuts off. I have to unplug the power from the transmitter and plug it back in. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for a new set and had the same problem with the new set. I will try the volume solution and post results.
