We have to purchase these once a year because of leakage. The company that use to fix them now say that lincoln has made parts so expensive that you are better off buying new. I know very well about planned obsolesence but give me a break, two of these go to hell each year? We do use distilled water so it is not from minerals. Can anyone help me and explain how to fix? Thanks Tom
Any service man that said it is easier and cheaper to buy a new one is seriously confused. A Fresh-O-Matic runs around $1,300.00 to $1,500.00, depending on where you get a price, and usual service calls on Fresh-O-Matics are around $150.00. I have loaners that are over 30 years old and they still work great and they use the same parts. I would recommend calling Lincoln Food Service 1-260-436-0735 or send them an e-mail at [email protected] and see who the recommended service company is in your area.
Unplug the steamer when its hot, then pump it and you can see where it is leaking from, they will leak around the top of the tank if they are moved around alot, the biggest problem I have with them is the Valve spacers cracking, This causes them to pump weakly, Its an easy fix thought. If anybody has any they would like to get rid of that leak send me an email. [email protected]
Are you interested in getting rid of the unused ones?
I also have problems with mine. has anyone tried the Roundup dfw100 steam food warmer?

What other options do we have? We have 5 of them and have replaced and replaced parts and they just don't work as good anymore.
I have the same issues with mine. Today it sparked and sputtered. I think the water holding tank or somewhere along the line its leaking. We all know that water and electricity do not mix well.
