This is called BEZEL you want to lift off. Take watch case opener (or just a pocket knife), insert the blade between case and bezel, then carefully pry up bit by bit, going all around the case. Make sure you are pressing blade in while prying up the bezel. This will not let knife to slip and scratch the watch. Rate me, plz.

How do I open the face of a PHOLM watch?

take the watch to a qualified watch repair person, if it is of value to you. you do not have the proper tools or knowledge base if you are asking here.

if you try to open the back, the tool you use will slip and cut your fingers or hand. it may seem like a simple job, but you don't know how intricate and tiny the screws are that hold the watch together.

Broken Armani sign

Yes it can be fixed but may need a jeweller. You cannot take the glass face out on it own, you have to remove the watch back plate and then pull out the watch mechanism. (Once the back plate is off removing the mechanism is not difficult) You then have access to both the inside glass face and the watch face. If you can do this you will need to glue the Armani logo with something like super glue, but not applied directly to watch, too risky. If you have tweezers hold the Armani logo in them. Use a pin and dip it into a small blob of super glue, apply the pin to the back of the logo and then place it on the watch face as quickly as possible and align. Once aligned apply a little pressure with the tweezers on the logo to help adhere, about 5 seconds, leave to dry and then put watch back together. If this all seems to difficult a jeweller can do it in about ten minutes.

How to remove back to change battery in "My Wish" Collezioni watch. No notch for knife and won't screw off.

You should be able to pry it off, just follow this simple steps:
Locate a very small tab (or recessed area) on the edge of the back cover. Pull out the stem, which releases the back on some watches.Get a small flathead screwdriver it needs to be a thin inflexible tip. Very carefully slide the blade under the tiny metal protrusion on the back cover (or across the length of the recessed area, depending on which type of cover your watch has). When you replace the cover, make sure you line up the stem slot on the cover with the stem of the watch. These steps are listed on wikihow:
http://www.wikihow.com/Pry-off-a-Watch-Backing-Without-Proper-Tools . You also could skip step 2 if it's a cheap quartz watch.

If one of the hands have fallen off the face of the watch. can it be repaired by taken the back off or the crystal face? If the crystal face can be removed what is the proper way to remove the crystal

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
Hands are fixed through the back of a watch but due to the delicate nature and complication of this type of repair, it needs to go to a watch repair service tech.
Best regards. Jewel

I have a Fossil Arkitekt wristwatch (FS-2919). on of the hands on one of the three tiny dials has come loose and is floating around the face. I probably wouldn't care, but the main watch hands get caught...

You will have to remove the back off the watch (cant take off the face). You MIGHT be able to access the hand from there, but you may have to adjust some of the watch inner movement and that will be risky but you can try.
Goood luck

Change ******** Anne Klein watch

Your watch comes with interchangeable bezels, not faces. Bezel is a ring or rectangle (depends what shape your watch has) surrounding a glass.
All bezels are mostly friction fitted,so, to remove your bezel you need to use a strong knife blade and press it between the bezel and the case. The bezel should lift up.
To get the bezel back you have to press it into place.
For changing the strap you have to turn watch upside down and using the knife or lug tool try to squeeze sprigbar end out of the watch lug. Sprinbar is the piece which holds a strap attached to watch. The end of springbar you will find exactly where the strap is attached to watch. Push it inwards and it must come out. The rest is like 2x2.
Good luck.
