I assume that the full message is "Shutter release is disabled." The causes can be as follows:
1. The memory card is not fully inserted, or locked in place; or the write protect tab on the left edge of the memory card is in the protected position. A full memory card could also cause this problem.
2. You are using an automatic lens equipped with a focusing ring and you have failed to lock the aperture at the highest f-number by sliding the locking tab on the lens.
3. You are using a non-CPU lens, in which case you must rotate the mode dial to "M" and manually set your ISO, shutter speed and f-stop.
4. Your flash is not fully charged.
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.
First, get a card reader (they're very cheap) and use it to download the pics from the card. Then, re-insert the card into the camera and go into the menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to completely erase the card and optimize it for your new camera.
For some reason the card has corrupted. Maybe it's bent or something similar - or it's just an odd problem. Try first to power down and take out the card. Check the contacts for any dirt or similar and clean. Put the card back and try if it works.
If it doesn't work you might still be able to download the pictures to your computer with a card reader
