The charger is hooked to the ipad but still it doesn't charge, I re-hooked it, unplugged it, and still no sign for the charging.
IThe iPad needs more power than the average USB device. It doesn't run and charge at the same time on a regular USB port. If it doesn't charge with the original charger though, you have a hardware issue. You can always take it to the apple store and demonstrate the problem there, you'll probably receive a replacement. If you have issues with the warranty, there are third party places that will find our what's wrong. If you want to do it yourself, the good news is, it's not too hard to open it. Try an old iPod charger see if that works because when i got my iPod Touch the charging didnt work so i used my nano charger and it worked.
