    I have Intel P-IV with 845 GVSR MotherBoard and other peripherals. I tried to install Windows Vista on it. The installation had completed and system is working properly. Only one problem has occurred that is Video, because the mother board driver did not support it So kindly solve my problem and suggest and send me Intel 845 GVSR for Vista.

I don't know weathere you are awared of this or not...

to get the 32 bit graphic on 82845gv motherboard go to BIOS setting and change your video frame buffer size to 8 mb and agp aeperture to 256 mb and let the system boot... you will get 32 bit graphic with 1024 x 748 screen resolution... i have changed and believe me it is working

but only problem is that you will hardly play any game or use bubble screen saver..

845gvsr board doesn't support graphics color in windows vista we need additional graphics card. i suggest we buy external graphics card. then only we solve this problem.

Install this version of driver... it works for 845gvsr!!!
but the only problem is it does not give aero look, as we have only 64mb graphic card (internal), and vista needs 128 atleast,

Normally you would click the dropdown window & pick your OS but your Intel board does not support Vist any edition.

    You can try installing the drivers for win XP Pro, some people claim they have worked with Vista.

Swaping hdd 845 motherboard to 915 motherboard
its always safe to have data backed up

u can swap the HDD

but bootup with the Win2K CD in the Drive and after the files are loaded at the first screen select install then after it detects the OS select R (Repair) and this will reinstall the operating system files and then you can use the system as before though u may have to install the device drivers and motherboard drivers

Intel 845 GVSR drivers for windows vista
Fix for older motherboards like Intel 845GVSR etc.,
HERE IS THE SOLUTION FOR FIXING DISPLAY PROBLEMS....
(This solution works for any Intel Motherboard)
No need to donwload or install any drivers.
Vista has everything built in.
Only thing is it needs atleast 128 Mb of Video Memory, but for older motherboards like Inter 845 by default the Video Memory is configured to 64 Mb which is resulting in your problem.
So what you have to do is...
SOLUTION:
Restart your computer > Press DEL Key
and
Go to BIOS Settings > Advanced > Video Configuration
1. Change "AGP Aperture Size" from 64 Mb to "128 Mb or Higher"
2. Leave "Primary Video Adapter" as "Integrated"
3. Change "Frame Buffer Size" from 1 Mb to "8 Mb"
and then press F10(i.e., Save changes and continue).
Sometimes, for the first time you may see screen not aligned properly, in that case just restart once more and Vista will automatically adjust the alignment for you.
Also, you can change the resolution to your desired one manually as follows...
1. Click "Start Button"
2. Right click on "Computer"
3. Select "Properties" option from the context menu.
4. Scroll down and find "Disply Settings" option and click it.
5. Adjust Resolution Size and Mode.
NOW, ENJOY USING VISTA.....
