When you took the old battery out, did you look for the number? Did you purchase that same number or a equivalent battery? Have you checked with the instruction booklet that came with your device?

I don't know what battery your watch takes. I would expect a jewler would replace the battery for you for the cost of the battery.

I have replace the batteries and after assembled the mode and adjust buttons are not functional.

I've had the same problem with another Casio watch and in my case I didn't place the inner parts of the watch exactly right. This must be done very precisely, otherwise one or more button functions don't work. Maybe it is worth a try to check the alignment of the inner parts of the watch.

How to shortcut watch battery.

There are plenty of watches around where you can find writing Shortcut battery and AC. Some writings explain how many times you have to shortcut and for how long as well. Make sure you read exactly what it says and do exactly what it says. Shortcut is needed to restore all watch settings and to make all functions work properly. Shortcut must be done right after replacing watch battery, before any settings. Please note - if you are not quick enough with battery replacement, all previous data from watch memory will be lost. Usual max time for battery replacement is 3 minutes. So, when you decide to replace battery, do it as fast as you can, just make sure do not damage the watch in a rush. When the new battery is in place and in right position, get an eyeglass or magnifying glass and carefully examine watch movement all way around. You should find brass/silver coloured contact with letters AC next to it or even on it. This is exact point for shortcut. Take fine pointed tweezers and touch with one pointed end battery's + and with another end AC contact and hold for 3 seconds. If writing in the watch says Shortcut twice, then do it twice for 3 seconds. When shortcut is done, your watch is ready for use and you can set the desired time, date, month and so on.Hope this will help for everyone who want's to save few quid on watch repairer charges.

Casio Telememo 30 I need to change my battery again. I did this once before and seem to remember having to short the watch using a hole in the movement inside the casing. I can't find a source for that...

My g shock is stuck on getting the moon graph

Check your rechargeable battery level. When MED or LOW (M or L) some functions are disabled in order to save energy to keep time (at least) running. If L,recharge immediatelly by exposing the watch to direct sunlight (not behind window glass) for 5-6 hours.Check the battery level in the mean time.Recharge more,if needed.

Waterford crystal watch. how do i set the time? i just replaced the battery and the clock is functioning but cannot figure how to set time.

There is a very tiny flap to the right of the battery compartment. You lift up on it and rotate it. As you do, the time will change. When you get the correct time, put the flap back to the down position.

Two problems with my Polar F6: 1. There is some fade on in the bottom right of my watch. That occured before my battery was replaced. 2. After my battery was replaced the heart rate has been off by 30-60...

Yes, it is a problem with the installation of the battery. If you did not send the watch into an authorized service center then you should do so this time. It is very easy to damage the circuit boards in the watch if not done properly, plus there is a service warranty when going through the service centers. The fade was most likely from the battery dying, but could also have been from a degraded seal and moisture issues.

Link to Authorized Service Center -

I also have "how to" function related info in my tips and tricks page.

My g-shock watch model# DW 5700 displays a rectangular nox in the upper right corner with the letters "REM" below it. I've installed a new battery and this is all I get. None of the function buttons...

Rem is the reminder function of the watch , you can turn it off and on by holding down the bottom right button usually on casio watches. You can also find the online manual here http://world.casio.com/wat/download/en/manual/

I just replaced the battery and now it won't let me set the watch, how do I do that?

mcdevito75 here, If you replaced the battery yourself you may have moved the quatrz movement and mis-aligned the buttons the thier contact spot on the quartz movement. You"ll have to open the back nd check by pushing gently on each button 1 at a time to make sure each button is makeing contact at the right spot on the quartz movement, also even if the battery is new it can still be weak or dead as they have a shelf life, also you may need the exact battery number Casio recommends, a small watch repair shop in your area can advise. The 2 buttons you need to set your watch are MODE and SET. --------- Press and maybe hold in the MODE button, 2--3 seconds, MODE button usually on the right side of watch caseing, see the display flashing, now press set to set each function, (hour, minute etc.) press MODE after ecah function is set, (hour, minute etc.) once everything is set, press MODE again to see steady display.

Sound not working for any alarms after replacing battery on Casio 526. All other functions work.

The sound board is the touchiest part of watches with sound. This can be subject to all sorts of problems during battery replacement. You can sometimes get all the functions back by "AC"ing the watch but in many cases once it is fried it will have to be replaced.
To have an "AC" or reset performed you should see a watch maker or technician specializing in watch repair.
