If your Sami Cadette jukebox is producing a popping sound from the speakers, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
Dirty or corroded contacts: Over time, the contacts in the amplifier, selector switch, or other parts of the jukebox may become dirty or corroded, leading to poor connections and electrical interference. Try cleaning the contacts with a contact cleaner or a cotton swab and see if the popping sound goes away.
Loose or damaged wires: Check the wiring inside the jukebox to make sure that all the wires are properly connected and not damaged. Loose or damaged wires can cause interference and noise. If you find any loose or damaged wires, repair or replace them as necessary.
Faulty components: If the popping sound persists, it could be due to faulty components in the jukebox, such as the amplifier, preamp, or speakers. You may need to replace these components to fix the issue.
External interference: Sometimes, external sources of interference, such as nearby electronic devices or power lines, can cause popping sounds in audio systems. Try moving the jukebox to a different location and see if the problem goes away.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to consult a professional jukebox technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
Check all of your audio and video connections to make sure they are seated(connected properly). After doing so,if you still have the popping sound try lowering the volume and see if the popping noise lessens or gets worse. If the noise goes away then you may have a problem with the speakers, either in the tv or in an external sound system if one is connected.
If the amplifier itself is making the popping sound I suggest you disconnect it immediately, as it could be an electrical short within the amp. If the popping sound is actually coming from the speakers, it could be due to a crossed wire, blown amp channel, or blown speaker. If you posses the technical know-how, you can test the amp channel and speaker by connecting a different speaker to the channel responsible for the popping sound. If the new speaker makes the same popping noise then it is most likely a blown channel. I hope this helps =)
No solution i'm afraid. But i have the exact same problem. Terrible cracking interference. Unplug everything else in the house and they still crackle. Very annoying.
Decided to buy a new woofer on ebay as that seemed to be the problem with possible faulty switch, but the new woofer has a different connection for the volume control. Incredibly frustrating.
If you have any luck let me know.
Bose want eighty quid to repair...
Sound like the siren. check the connections at the siren. If the connections are good and the system is sending a signal then, you may need to replace it.
Im having the same problem! No pop, just a hum, and my volume dial won't adjust. Like the actual dial isn't working.
I can't use radio, cd, or aux.
Silence SUCKS.
hi Im Kapila from Sri Lanka. to solve the noise like a siren, open the sound mixer (double click on the speaker icon on the task bar) and mute the mic on that, or decreas the mic level. its OK, you can adjust it the audio settings perfectly via double click on the audio icon in control panel. not enough the details for flickering problem. send the message to [email protected] regarding that
Ground Loop Isolators are nice, but if you want truly crystal clear sound, you will need to run a common ground. All electronics will need to be run close to the amp, as more than about 3 feet of ground wire from the amp can cause sound issues. When I ran my common ground, I connected my radio and satellite together, and ran one sigle ground wire to the backseat of my car, where the amp grounds are located. This will optimize the clarity of the sound coming through the speakers. For the popping sound in the speakers when the car is powered on or off, you need to see if the radio itself has a wire to power the remote connection on the amp. Most of the time, they will, and this is the wire you will use to turn on the amp itself, as it delays each item powering on and reduces the chance of popping in the speakers. DO NOT run the remote wire from the amp to the accessory wire of the radio, as this will cause the popping sound you are hearing. If the radio does not have an Amp Turn-on wire, then you may need to improvise by using an accessory wire in another location, but even this is may cause popping as well. The pop comes from multiple things turning on at once, so the Amp Turn-on wire delays the amps for just a moment, preventing the pops.
