Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly

I could be of much better help with a complete model number I.e. (example 110.XXXXX)

The wait is supposed to be 10 minutes. go back and turn off your breaker by "Physically" pushing it with conviction to the OFF position and wait 10 minutes.

If after 10 minutes the cooktop is STILL locked:

Push the touch pad that looks like a padlock for at least 5 seconds. The lock light should go out.

If it does not go out I will need your model number to go any further.

Thanks for using FixYa and I will be watching for your response.

Kelly

How do I unlock Model No 76012086

Hello Anne,

Even with your model number I was unable to get a good description of your control board (or part availability)... or manufacturer (seems to point ti induction cooktops)... Sorry.

Your question peeked my curiosity because I had no idea there was a lock... The instructions say to "hold/press" the button/icon down for 5 seconds and the cooktop/oven should UNLOCK...

We are LOOKING for a symbol of an UN-LOCKED Padlock.

The instructions go on further to say... if this does not unlock
your appliance you need to have a service technician look at your CONTROL BOARD.

Hoping for a reset... READ THE MANUAL (failing that)...

I would recommend FIRST (before total capitulation)... trying to find the associated CIRCUIT BREAKER and shutting off the power... for at least a minute.

If that action does not provoke more cooperative behavior from your cook top INCREASE the time intervals (some better appliances use pretty good capacitors for holding memory settings... while others use terrible caps... (one of the biggest reasons for circuit board failures)).

In ANY CASE... I would try many more things like hunting up parts or online videos before inviting the Samsonite Gorilla to take one of my appliances apart (again).

Hoping the 5 seconds works for you!

Had power go off now er flashing on all burners can not reset

It's possible that you had a surge when the power returned that scrambled the controller's brain. Try disconnecting power and reconnecting to restore normal operation. Disconnect power by unplugging the stove from the wall or switching off the breaker that controls it at your main circuit breaker box. Wait a minute or two, then plug the stove back in or turn the circuit breaker back on. If the stove does not work after this, you may need a new controller board.

Fridgidare model number mef305pbwf eyes stopped working

Hello James - Thank you for your question! Let's try resetting the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your appliance could be experiencing a communication error with the EOC (electronic oven control), a potential wiring failure or faulty elements. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

Hi George - Thank you for your post! Let's try resetting the cook-top by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your appliance could be experiencing a communication error with the EOC (electronic oven control) or a potential wiring failure. You may wish to reach out to an appliance expert who is best equipped to pinpoint the exact problem, which can often save you funds and a headache.

Meat does not brown in gas oven

Hello - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately two minutes and turn the range back on. Select a normal bake cycle and if issue continues then the unit may possibly have either a faulty element, bad communication error with the main control board, oven sensor, or mechanical thermostat. I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem and it does work out better to your advantage.

The lock light is blinking, the door is locked, everything is turned off, and the temperature is definetely below 490. We cannot get the door to open. I have a E36DF76EPS model

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The locking of the oven is a safety measure while self clean function is activated. Once the oven has completed the cycle & has cooled down, then it will reset the door lock.

If a self clean oven door lock fails to open after the self clean cycle and sufficient cooling time has elapsed (approximately 1 hour), there are several things you can try.
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition or you were not using the self clean cycle, then, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door—

In order to open the door you have to open the control panel and remove the door lock.

Remove the three screws from the bottom of the control panel. You'll heed a 1/4" open wrench. Pull the bottom of the control panel toward yourself and push it up to release from the upper tabs.
The door lock is secured by the three screws.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
