My expansion slot will not work it says not installed when i insert my sd card

The SD memory card slot is spring loaded, to insert the memory card insert the card into the SD memory slot with the SD card contacts going in first and gently push it in until it locks in place. NOTE if the SD card does not slide into the slot easily then the SD memory card has been inserted back to front, turn the SD card around and insert it again.
To remove an installed SD memory card, press the SD memory card and it will pop out slightly then you can then pull out the SD memory card.

check if the drivers are installed

Push the card in just a bit until it clicks, then it should release unless it is stuck. Sometimes this happens with new SD cards until they are inserted and ejected a few times.

To install a CompactFlash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) card into
an expansion slot on the iPAQ Pocket PC:
1. Locate the appropriate slot on the top of the iPAQ Pocket PC.
To identify slot locations, refer to the Getting Started
document that came with the iPAQ Pocket PC.
2. Before inserting a CompactFlash (CF) card into the CF
expansion slot, pull the plastic slot cover from the CF slot.
3. Insert the expansion card into the appropriate expansion slot
and push the connection edge of the card firmly into the
expansion slot.
✎If your expansion card is not recognized, follow the card
manufacturer’s instructions to install it.
✎For more detailed help, refer to the Help files installed on your

✎To prevent power loss, remove any expansion cards from either
the CF or SD expansion slots before turning off the iPAQ

• To have access to a wireless network

If the SD card is a compatible type, it should just read it

The first thing to try is a soft reset while the card is inserted.

It is not easy to say what the problem is. It is not known to me that there are some settings for this problem. In my opinion in this case is important to find out what is reason for this problem. It can be faulty SD Card or some hardware problem. If you have possibilities try to test it with second SD Card (maybe another producer). If the problem is still there you can try to update or reinstall PDA Image. On this way you can check if error message comes again and find out is this just hardware problem. In my opinion the best way is to contact Service Partner. They can make hardware check. If you have some success and it works well please let me know what the problem was.

Problems inserting expansion cards, or keeping them in your device, may have a simple solution. Try these first: * Make sure the expansion card is facing the correct way. See the handbook for your device for illustrations. * Expansion cards do not fit into the slot if not oriented properly. If a MultiMediaCard (MMC) slides all the way through, it does not operate correctly. Make sure to fit cards carefully in the slot. * The mechanism of the expansion slot is called "push-push." Much like a glass cabinet door, you push to insert the card, and then push it in again to get the mechanism to release. Expansion cards do not need to be forced out of the expansion slot. * Though most expansion cards are notched at the top for removal with a fingernail or other such object, removing the card this away may damage the mechanism. Use an object only when a push fails to release the card. Please be aware that you could damage your handheld if you remove a card improperly, or insert objects other than expansion cards into the slot. * Expansion slots damaged by forced removal of the card do not release the card when pushed, and could refuse to ?lock? the card in the slot. Expansion slot damage can only be repaired by having the entire handheld serviced. * Some expansion cards labeled as SD or MMC do not actually conform to the SD or MMC specification.
