You have to take the door off
I DO NOT RECOMMEND CLEANING IT
there are 3- 4 layers of glass you have to take apart
so there is a big risk of breaking something
but if you dare
open the door
look at your hinges
you will see a tab
pull them down
open door
and lift upwards the door will come out of the socket
remove all the screws and you will be able to access the glass
good luck

You just remove the door, undo the handle and screws and split it. Clean with Easy Off, rinse, dry and reassemble.

Why are there brown/white streaks inside oven door glass after using self cleaner 1 time?

Thank you for your post, friend!

From my understanding after you used the self-clean feature on your Frigidaire range you now have brown and white streaks on the indoor glass. Typically streaks can be removed by cleaning the interior glass. Normally it is recommended to have a professional clean the inside glass but a consumer can do it as well. Use caution when following the steps some pieces can have sharp edges. You will need to have a Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit driver.

A. Refer to owners guide for instructions on how to remove oven door.

B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.

C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table

D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.

E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side

F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.

G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing up.

H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost clear glass to wool shield.

I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lays onto the wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H.

J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner.

K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned without further disassembly the lining assembly.

L. Reassemble in reverse order.

Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Condensation streaks on an oven door window can be between multiple glass panels such that it is necessary to disassemble the door to clean.

Maytag Gemini oven glass door panels impossible to clean

We had an ugly spill of hot grease/water from a roast, and lots of it ran right into the vent holes on our oven door, covering various layers of glass and other parts inside the door. Yuck. Thankfully we found this site!

"fixetheoven" was certainly on the right track, but missed a key step that makes this job much, much easier. (Maybe they had a few too many sips of wine during the process?! :-)

Anyway, the key to make the job easy, and do-able by one person, is to pull the door off the hinges before starting to remove any screws! Here's how we did it:

1. Open the door about four inches or so, it will stay in place. Hold the door at the sides and lift it up, sliding it right off of the hinges! Now lay it carefully face up on a table so you have easy access to the screws, and no danger of the glass dropping out of the bottom of the door (as apparently happened to "fixedtheoven".)
2. Remove the two screws that hold the panel on one side of the door. (One screw is halfway up the side panel, the other is on the bottom edge of the door.)
3. Slide the panel off, paying close attention to how it fits into place so you can return it to its original position later!
4. Remove the two screws that hold the panel on the other side of the door, and slide that panel out as well.
5. Remove the three screws that hold the panel across the bottom edge of the door, and remove that panel.
6. Now you can slide the front glass out from under the top edge of the door.
7. Clean the front glass, the side panels, and the bottom panel, as needed.
8. There will be another layer of glass inside the door. If it needs cleaning on the underside, remove the screws from one of the metal brackets that hold the glass in place. You can then slide this piece of glass out from the metal bracket at the other side.
9. After cleaning everything, reassemble the door by reversing the above steps.
10. Lift the door by the sides and carefully slide it back into place on the hinges. Be sure it is properly in place and being held there before you let go!!
11. Now go pour that glass of wine and sip to your heart's content, while admiring how clean your oven door is!

Oven windows

I have the same problem. Two years ago the service representative came to my house to replace the door seal in my upper oven. He had to take the door apart to remove and replace the part. I used that opportunity to clean the interior glass partitions. I watch how he took it apart and put it back together again. I would not recommend trying it yourself. Also, local service reps. would clean it for you for a nominal fee. The problem is taking the bigger heavier door in which I have to do with mine.

Cleaning Inside Glass Oven Door of KitchenAid KEMC308KSSO

To dismantle the kitchenaid pro line oven door: there is a lever over the hinges that attach a door to the oven. The lever is right on top of the hinge. Pull the lever up. When that lever is in the up position, you can pull the door out.

Spill into oven vents

The best way to clean the inner glass is to remove the door from the oven. With the door in the broil open position (first stop) pull up for about 2 inches until the hinge brackets are released from their stops. Close the door all you can and lift the door off the hinges. Lay the door on a padded surface and remove the 4 screws on the bottom. The outside glass will now slide out of its rail and you can clean the inside. To install just reverse the process. If you take your time and observe, it's not that bad of a job...Catriver..post back.
