Do this:
Go to Menu--Messages--Create Message--Message--Tap on the Blank Screen (I am sure you can do this)...here is the step for adding words into the T9 library

Now on the Pad (from where you type the message) you will see T9 button lower left corner--press it--the color will change from Black to Blue.
When you will start typing few letters e.g.,Hello you will also see these words Hello,Cello,Helen on the Right Side of these words you will buttons for selecting the words and moving them up and down...move them down completely as soon as the words are finished you will see another button and that is Add word --press it and type in any word that you want to add--after typing press Done from the bottom left corner and you are done with the problem.

If there's any more help you need,do let me know.

How to add words to the t9 dictionary.

Adding words to your phone's T9 dictionary is quite simple.
If you have a newer model phone with newer versions of T9 when you try to enter a word that isn't recognized you should be presented with a prompt that says "Add word" or "Spell".

If you have an older version of T9 don't despair you can still add words. All you have to do in this case is: switch from T9 mode to "abc" mode and spell the word one letter at a time, hit the space key, then switch back to T9 mode. Whatever word you just spelled has now been added to your T9 dictionary.

How do i set predictive text on samsung m8800

Follow the below mentioned method, also see the advantages of T9 dictionary :
1.
Check your manual to learn more about text messaging
Check your cell phone's user manual to see if your cell phone has the T9 function. While most new phones contain this function, if you have an older phone, you'll want to check to be certain. Look under the Text Messaging section in the manual.
2.
Enable T9 for easy texting
Enable the T9 setting on your cell phone. Some phone require that you enable this function. Check under your cell phone's Options menu and also under the text messaging options. Depending on your cell phone, you may be able to set T9 as the default method of text input or you may have to toggle the text input functions to choose T9 for every text message. Generally, the toggle key will be your asterisk key. Again, check your cell phone's manual for more information.
3.
Choose your language and other preferences for T9 texting
Pick your T9 preferences. Your T9 function may allow you to set several preferences. The most typical preference is language, and you also may able to set whether you want your cell phone to use T9 for word completion only or to predict which word you will type next. You may also be able to set the "delay" - the amount of time before your T9 function changes the letters you are typing to what it thinks they should be. Again, try your Options or Preferences menus in the text messaging module of your cell phone or consult your cell phone's manual. You will want to try different set-ups to determine which works best for you and your style of text messaging.
4.
T9 gives you more then one way to select the right word for your text message
Type your text message, toggling for T9 if your phone requires it. Once the T9 function is enabled or toggled, simply type the word you want. Do not be concerned if the letters do not appear correctly when you first start typing the word - they will correct themselves when you finish typing the word, as long as you spell it correctly. Your phone may offer a drop-down menu with word suggestions as you type. If your word shows up, scroll down and select it if you wish or continue typing your word. If your phone does not offer a drop-down menu, and the word that you type is not the word that you wanted, press the Down arrow key on your cell phone and another word will show up. Keep pressing the Down arrow until your word shows up. When you have the word you want, use the space function to continue typing.
5.
Add your own text expressions to T9
Add your own words to the T9 function. The T9 function comes with an extensive dictionary, but you can add your own words or abbreviations, too. Again, you may have to dig around the Options or Preferences section in the text messaging module of your phone. Once you find it, simply type and add your own special words or expressions to have them at your fingertip when you text.
Use T9 to express yourself in your own unique way!

How to take t9 off boost mobile i570?

There is no option on the i570 to actually " Turn off " T9, but there is the option to switch from "Word" to "Alpha" with eliminates the annoying T9 from interrupting your text message. The way you do this is by creating a new SMS text message or "Reply" to an existing message in you inbox. Either way works. Once in the new message window you want to press the "menu" key you will see "Entry Method", you then just want to select "Alpha" instead of "word" and the T9 will no longer be active.

Write Message by Keypad

When you see soft keypad on screen while writing new message, click on the keypad icon at the bottom.
This should hide the keypad from screen.
Now you can type. The only problem is you can not type custom words. You have to depend on t9.
If you want to write custom work click on Add New word option. The word will be saved and t9 will recognize it when you try to type it again.

Using T9 mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to
key in any character using single keystrokes.
Entering a word in T9 mode
1. Press [2] to [9] to start entering a word. Press
each key once for each letter.
For example, press [4], [3], [5], [5], and [6] to
enter HELLO in T9 mode.
T9 predicts the word that you are typing, and it
may change with each key that you press.
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting
characters.
3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.
Otherwise, press [0] to display alternative word
choices for the keys that you have pressed.
For example, OF and ME use [6] and [3].
4. Press [ ] to insert a space and enter the next
word.
Other T9 mode operations
• Press [1] to enter periods or apostrophes
automatically.
• Press [ ] to change case. Lower case (No
indicator), Initial capital ( ), and Capital lock ( )
are available.
• Press [ ] to insert a space.
