Electronic Display
This is a common problem with Jenn-Air and Maytag that I have found. There is no way to brighten the display and usually requires the replacement of the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board. I think this may have something to do with the placement of the board and possibly being damaged by heat from the oven over a period of time. Do you do a lot of baking? Do you use the self-clean mode for your oven a lot? These seem to be contributors to these boards failing like they do. I know of one person who has replaced the EOC 6 times on the same stove. I don't know if this is the advice you were looking for, but I hope it helps you.
We had the same problem ordered a new board didn't repair the problem so ordered a new face plate didn't help ordered a new board then we were treated with this light and fan problem.. no repair people are interested in helping so what do we do junk a costley product ? Or can I get a repair manual??? Jack ...
The clock panel led(s) could only be seen when it was dark in the kitchen. The control panel worked fine for about 6-9 months. Then the "broil" function failed, and the "bake" function was beginning to be intermittent. Seemed like you had to push the button numerous times before you got the "Beep". Replaced the clock panel and the clock light was restored however the bake, broil and clean functions were inop. Put the old panel back in and now no lights and no Bake, Broil, or Clean.Functions on the right had side of the control panel seem ok. How would I determine of the front panel is the culprit, or the relay board or whatever???
Hi, I have a similar problem. I bought my Jenn-Air slide in (SVE47600WC) 8 years ago and now I am starting to barely see the clock or the temperature of the oven or the time remaining on my timer due to the digital display being so dimmed. What is the solution here, do I need a new part, is it something that I can change myself, is it an expensive part? Where can I find instruction on this?
Thank you,
Kathfrank
