I have a Philips 42PFL7662D/05. When I switch on, I get sound but no picture at all. Purchased Nov 2007. Help
We have the same telly and had the same problem. Ours was bought Jan 08. It can be repaired, as we had ours returned from the philips repair specialist yday, but it cost £190.
the same has just happened to our today 14th Feb 2011 - we bought ours in March 2008 - Phillips have offered to take it away and fix it free of charge - having looked on the net earlier I can see hundreds of complaints with the same model so I'd refuse to pay for fixing it, it cost over €1k when purchased.

We have the same problem 09-03-2011. It couln't be fixed is told.Spare part was not availeble by Philips was the information. This is the secound time with this problem. We had the some repair 1 year ago. TV repaired for Euro 150,00.
Hi All, I have the same TV with the same fault bought around the same time but at £800 in the sale. I have been in contact with Philips and they are going to repair it FOC also. Just mention on the call that you've been online and seen 100's of the same complaint, as lindahan did, and they won't quibble. I fact, to give them their due they were really very good indeed, no automated service, no long wait times and a free phone number which is 0800 331 6015 the website ishttp://www.support.philips.com/support they will ask you to try a few things via tech support to check it is a genuine fault etc. I am now just waiting for an engineer to give me a phone call to arrange an appointment to pick it up.
