Ok, it sound to me that the laser lens which actually reads the cd's has some dirt particles on it.
There is a very cheap method of solving this problem. Just go to any cd shop and buy yourself a decent laser lens cleaner disc, follow the instructions and you should be set.
sounds like a bad spot in your ribbon cable. it runs form the laser assembly to the circuit brd. you could have some dirt on the sled rails..either way the radio will have to be taken apart..if you can do this yourself the ribbon cable is not too expensive...labor is what gets you..
hi penguinxy. try get a original cds if it works fine.the next time you burn cd try burn at 8x or low may be your cd lens is not detecting cds burnt at high speed.hope this helps..
