GE JBP45G oven display module keeps on showing ''PF'', whether I turn oven on or off.Have to constantly reset clock to make the ''PF'' message dissapear. My broiler element is not working,but why is ''PF'' message showing,even when oven is not on.

PF stands for power failure, just hit cancel and reset clock.

Depending on manufacturer and model, PF can mean a number of things. On my stove, PF simply indicates "Power Fail" Yours may, too. You can clear this generally by updating the clock display. To verify that PF does indeed mean power fail for your stove, simply shut off the power for the cicuit than supplies the stove. This can be either circuit breaker or fuses. Turn the power back on after 5 or more seconds and if it displays PF again, you know it means power fail.

Otherwise, please provide the manufacturer and model of you stove for an answer.

usually, just reset clock..it stands for power failure..if power goes out. they all do this...

Try turning the breaker to that unit off and keep it off for 20 minutes or overnight, if possible, then flip the breaker back on. If it still shows the PF code, call us and we can get the correct part to you. Hope this helps.

F1 error and beeping. Don't bother getting GE out there. Cost me $90 to learn they don't make the clock. WOuld have been $500+ for the control panel anyway. Better off just buying a new one. Planned obsolescence I guess. I won't buy GE again.

see if your clock has a power on button or a reset do you know who made it ge, whirlpool,etc
