If it is Sony NW-E105 mp3 player then you need to download Sonic Stage software from Sony Support and install it in computer to transfer music files.

I want to add video songs via sonic stage but they are not added..

Hi,

The NWZ-S616F Walkman Player is not transferring the music using the SonicStage Software. Sony old Walkman player was using the SonicStage Software for transferring the files. You can use Windows Media Player 11 or higher, Media Manager for Walkman, Content Transfer Software or Windows Explorer for transferring the files to the Player.
Click here and select the operating System to download the Software for transferring the files.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My sony mp3 nwz-b135f does not open. when i'm attach it to computer, also does not display anything. please answer my question how to solve it....please!!

Hi,

Before connecting the Player to the Computer, Format the Player using the Format utility in the Walkman and then install the Windows Media Player version 11 Software in the Computer. The Format option in the Player is at the INITIALIZE option in the SETTINGS Menu of the Player.

You can also transfer the music to the Player without using the Windows Media Player 11 Software. You can drag and drop the music files to the Removable Drive which appear at the My Computer or Computer window depending upon the Operating System installed. This walkman Player is not compatible with the Windows 7 OS.

When trying to play music my SONY WALKMAN digital music player NW-A1200 does not play it says i must connect compliant software and transfer songs

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

I dont know how to set up my walkman to put anything in it?

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in transferring files to the Walkman Player. You can use the Windows Explorer to transfer files (music, images and videos) to the Walkman layer. Once you connect the Walkman Player to the Computer, it will display as an additional storage media under My Computer. Please follow the below steps to access the Walkman Player using Windows Explorer.
  • Click Start and then click My Computer .
  • In the My Computer window, under Other , double click the icon for your portable player.
  • In the My Computer\[Name of your portable player] window, double click Storage Media .
  1. Now, drag and drop the music files or folders into the MUSIC folder.
  2. Drag and drop video files or folders into the VIDEO folder.
  3. Drag and drop picture/image files or folders into the PICTURE or DCIM folder.
Now, the only thing you want to make sure is that you're transferring compatible files to the player to use in it. The video files should meet the following requirements.

MP3 is fine for audio and for images, jpeg would be good.
I hope the information helpful, if you require any additional help, please let me know.

DOES NOT RECOGNIZE PLAYER WHEN CONNECTED

ive got the new version of the sony sonic stage downloaded onto my laptop, and when i plug my player into my laptop via usb cable, the player itself is recognized straight away as a harddrive/removable disk etc,and you have to transfrer music onto the player as from sonic stage music library, and you also have to creatate you own music library via sonic stage, and u can also transfer music from your own music library wich you use via windows media player, and also u can transfer a cd into you sony sonic stage music libraty, and this is similar to when your using the windows media player as to rip a cd or transfer music onto an mp3 player,as i use all diffrent types of mp3 players myself, and i find the archos gmini sx 202 player to be pretty awesome player,as ive got to of them as well, and i use windows media player as to transfer music files onto them, and i cannot transfer any music files onto the sony ones via windown media player as those music file wont show up on the player at all,and ive tried this myself, and it will only work via sony sonic stage.

How do i download music onto sony walkman if i dont have windows media player 11

try these methods
and any windows media player should work
**Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder, available from the "Start" menu, but it can be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.
