The freezer seems to work fine; I used a brush under to clean it but the fridge still not get cold enough. It registers 50 on thermometer.

the fridge started warming up but the freezer was fine. i took the freezer panels off & it was iced up. i manually defrosted the freezer & all worked fine for about 5 days so i manually defrosted the freezer again & fitted a new defrost timer but i still don't think its working.my mate mucked around with the freezer thermostat setting.could this be the problem?

    dose not make enough ice

Refrigerator worked fine for about a week, then kept everything at "just-above roomtemp".

Is there any well-known problems with the temperature control switch, thermostat , or timer. The compressor seems to run fine, but maybe not long enough.

Also, I purchased this item at a "Wholesale Warehouse.
Does this effect the product's quality control or warranty?

This could very well be the problem if the coil is iced over. I replace my defrost components and now they work fine. My fridge just doesnt run long enough to keep the fresh foods cold. I have manually diverted more air to the refrigerator side in order to get it down to around 37 degrees. As soon as it reaches around 37 or 38 it will cut off and go into defrost. Box will stay off a long period and the refrigerator temp will climb to over 50 degrees. It is a junk *** Maytag MZD2766GEW

You have either a Defrost heater / a defrost timer/ or a defrost bi-metal that is bad. if you post your model # i can look it up and show you how to set it into defrost to see if the heaters are ok
Since you replaced the timer already that leaves two things you need to check set it into defrost if you know how and remove the panel in the back wall of the freezer you should see the heater(s) are on if not check pwr 120vac at the heaters if 0 volts the bi-metal is bad

My Admiral freezer is cold but not freezing. The fridge seems fine but food in the freezer is thawing.

See if the coil is clean, if not, vacuum and brush the coil clean.
That should make diagnosis much easier.

American fridge/freezer - fridge stopped cooling, freezer side ok

Have you pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned or used a vacum cleaner to get out the dirt and dust off the back of the coils, or if the coils are underneath, you need to get an inexpensive appliance brush for fridge, and clean the coils under the fridge, pull off the panel on the front bottom of the fridge, get a flash light and look to see if the coils are covered in dust....may just need to vacum and use appliance brush underneath...this should be done at least one a year, you will notice your fridge running much better and cooling back to normal.......hope this helps......

So my split fridge and freezer broke. the freezer works fine but the fridge doesnt get cold enough, even if i turn the knob to 7 (the highest).

first clean and remove dust and debris from under unit and make sure fan is working properly--next check the fan in freezer section for icing ,damage ,blockage ,or failure repair or replace as necessary the fan supplies the fridge with cold air from freezer

I have a three door mobel freezer on the bottom the freezer is working fine the refrigerater is not cooling help.

How to check everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp

OR..
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

Our whirlpool 6 yr old refrig / freezer is not working correctly

Use a vacuum and clean under your fridge. A dryer cleaning brush will help make the job go much faster. Use a good light so you can get all the lint out. Give it 12 hours to level out. hope this is helpfull.. Saw

Bottom of refrigerator not getting cold enough, freezer is working fine, - Magic Chef -model MCBR1000w

have you cleaned out the coils underneath the fridge? it's very simple. pull the fridge out, look underneath(try pulling off the bottom grill from the front for more access), and start cleaning. to much dust and lint will hinder the coils from cooling. A vacuum with the brush attachment or little broom works good.

11 year old amana bottom freezer icemaker drips water when filling tray

Hello dunc444444
Welcome,
You said, Bottom freezer works fine, but upper refrigerator has no cold air

Is your freezer so full that it is packed to the top especially in the rear?
Refrigerators and freezers share the air from the compressor and travel through vents in the rear of the freezer and fridge.
Sometimes it can effect the cooling in the fridge if the freezer articles block the vents!

The water overfilling in the ice maker is an ice maker problem only.
When we install an ice maker there is a short white plastic tube that we push through the rear
hole of the fridge which supply's the water to the maker, the outside water line attaches to this.
That tube we push through the fridge must go in till it stops. And empties in to a little sistran at the rear of the ice maker. Make sure it did not sip out or backwards a little when you may have moved
rolled the fridge out to clean under it!

Also you need periodically to remove the front grill down in front of the fridge and gently run a refrigerator brush under the coils to clean out the dust that may block air flow over the coils.(the coils are metal black tubes that run back and forth along the bottom of your fridge.
The vacuum will not reach in to that tight space. That's why they make a special brush for this chore.
Let me know how you do?

Servis Fridge not cold enough

Hi ruthcart1,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have a free standing fridge freezer from Servis (silver) and the fridge doesn't seem to be as cold as it should be. The freezer is absolutely fine just the fridge even though you have adjusted the thermometer inside.YouI've had it maybe 3/4 years.

You're still under warranty. Modification now voids the warranty. I would call warranty repair. This should be their headache not yours.

Fridge doesn't get cold enough

If the evaporator fan is not running. The fan itself could be faulty or the door operated light/fan switch could be faulty.

If the evaporator fan is running. The fridge is not defrosting and ice has built up on the evaporator and the air is not circulating properly into the fridge compartment. The fan circulates cold air into the fridge and back through the fridge control which is normally just an adjustable flap which allows more or less cold into the fridge depending on the setting. If the fridge is not defrosting, the defrost timer could be faulty or heater element could be blown.
