SOURCE: samsung tv turning off by itself

I had a similar problem where my 61" Samsung DLP was turning itself off very frequently I had resolved to try replacing the bulb. I called a local TV repair place to see if they had my buld in stock. The guy I spoke to actually told me how to fix my problem! There is a little blue switch behind the bulb access door. The inside of the door has a little piece that presses the switch down. The switch is supposed to work correctly weather the switch is in the up or down position but samsung forgot to take expansion from heat into account. If the switch is held in the upper position by the door and the plastic expands to a certain point, it triggers the set to shut off. This does not occur of the switch is held in the lower position. What you need to do is take the access door off and put it back on by sliding it into position from above. That will hold the switch in the down position, eliminating the problem. My set has not **** itself off ever since.

SOURCE: when i turn my tv on 3/4 of the right side of the

The problem is most likely in the image processor area, or the backplane circuitry on the screen itself.
The service rep would be equipped to properly service your set. You should call LG to find out who in your area is able to service your set.
If the set is out of warranty it could be fairly expensive to service.

Samsung hdtv- sound but no picture

Your backlight inverter is bad. The backlight inveter is the board that turns on the backlight on the tv so that you can see it. You would have to open up the tv to get the part number. it is usually on the far left or right of the tv attached to teh screen.

You can get get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

Hello

If the power light blinks slowly,

you've tried to turn on the TV during

the lamp cooldown cycle. Wait

approximately 30 seconds, and the TV
will turn on automatically.

If light blinks, pauses for about a

minute, and blinks again: the lamp is

trying to turn on (TV will turn on

when successful). If TV doesn't turn

on and sequence continues, the lamp also
needs to be replaced.

To order lamp call 1-800-338-0376.

Have your TV serial number

and lamp type available (you'll

find this information on the

sticker that's on the right side of
the TV).
OK.

I have a five month old Samsung LN32B360 LCD TV I just turned in on and the picture came on but it had a rainbow look and then the picture goes off with sound only?

When you say 'rainbow look', do you mean vertical coloured lines on the screen? If so, then you will have a faulty Tcon. Could you get a snapshot of the fault and post it on here please then we can identify the problem more easily.

Samsung LN32B360 - had the TV for 9 months and when it is turned on the sound continues, but the picture pops on and off continually about every 20 seconds or so. This started about a month ago.

It can be the backlights inverter board or the power supply section that supplys the power to the inverter board is bad. I hope it is still under warranty. You can how much some of the parts cost here: http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Samsung+LN32B360+
Please post back what you find.

The power supply is known to go bad. I would see if it is working. A servicer in your area should be able to check this out. These are known for bad caps.
