TV says lost signal and turns itself off

My son accidentally sat on the remote, so we're not sure what was pushed. But now as soon as you turn on the TV the screen is blue and says NO SIGNAL at the top. Within roughly 3-5 seconds the TV turns itself back off.

TV is probably in the RGB mode. Since no computer is hooked up to the set it detects "No Signal" and will then shut off within seconds. To resolve you will need to attach a computer (laptop is easiest if you have one) to the TV RGB input. Turn on your TV and it should show what is on your computer screen. Then go to the input button on your TV and scroll to the input for the cable signal, or TV if no cable being used, and all should be good.

It could be the remote control itself. Pull the batteries from remote turn the set on from the side buttons and see if that works

Unplug the TV from Wall, wait a bit and plug back in. Should be reset.

My digital tv is saying no singal whats the problem and how do I fix it? we have a huge antenna on our roof

1 – Is the NO SIGNAL issue happening on just one TV?
CORRECT INPUT or SOURCE
If it is just one TV that is showing the NO SIGNAL…
-Be sure your TV is on the correct source or input as your CABLE or SAT BOX.
-Press the TV button on TV remote control to turn your TV ON.
-Press the INPUT button on your TV remote control.
-Cycle through all the inputs on your TV.
-Do this until you are on the INPUT your CABLE or SAT BOX is plugged into.
-You should then see the CABLE or SAT programming show on your TV.
HINT: Your TV will most likely list the TV INPUTS as: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, VGA, Component 1, Component 2, and so on.
If you still see NO SIGNAL on your TV screen, see the next step below…

2 – If you have your TV on the correct INPUT or SOURCE and you still see NO SIGNAL…
CABLE OR SAT BOX NEEDS RESET
-Remove or unplug the power cable from the Cable TV or SAT set top box.
-Keep it unplugged for 2 to 3 minutes.
-Plug the power cable back into your Cable or SAT set top box.
-Give it some time for the Cable or SAT box to power up, get the signal, and initialize.
If you still see NO SIGNAL on your TV screen, see the next step below…

3 – If you have reset the Cable or SAT box and still have the NO SIGNAL…
UNPLUG THE CABLE GOING FROM THE TV TO YOUR CABLE OR SAT BOX
-Remove the HDMI cable or other cables from your Cable TV or SAT set top box.
-Keep the cable unplugged for 2 to 3 minutes.
-Plug the HDMI cable or other cables back in.
-Give it some time for the Cable or SAT box to get the signal and initialize.
HINT: Make sure all the cables that are connected to your Cable or SAT box and your TV are tight, undamaged, and secured.

4 – If all of your TVs are affected with the NO SIGNAL screen…
BE SURE THE COAX CABLES OR ETHERNET CABLES ARE SECURE or CABLE OR SAT IS DOWN TEMPORARILY
-Be sure to check the ones where the CABLE or SAT come into your home.
-Be sure ALL Ethernet and Coax cables are secure.
-Call your CABLE or SAT provider to see if there is an outage.
-Realign your Dish if you have SATELLITE.

I can't get the remote to work at all. It will not even turn on the tv Is there a code you need to put in? I have changed batteries, I have pressed tv/sat and tv/video power saving, freeze I also pushed...

Hi,
Lets check remote is working or not.
Watch remote front through any digital camera and press buttons on remote, if you see blinking light on remote front that means remote is sending infra red signals and if no blinking light then remote is defective and no way to fix it.
Thanks.

Lost the direct TV signal to the TV when nephew pushed a button on the remote (he doesn't remember which button) The other TVs in the house receive signals per usual.

Your nephew must have pushed the "Input" button on the remote. The TV is now looking for signal at a different input.

On the remote, press the input button until the TV switches back to the correct input. Make sure the satellite receiver is turned on so when the TV lands on the correct input, you will know it.

When I turn on TV I get a message no video input. We never use video with this tv. Only have it for looking at satelite. The other main tv is working fine. I pressed all the buttons but nothing works.

Sounds like the input accidentally got changed. On the remote that came with the TV, push the INPUT button until you get your satellite picture again. If your SAT. remote is programmed to your TV, push the TV button, then the input button until you see your picture. If this doesn't work then the sat. cable is not securely attached or no longer works.

Magnavox 15" lcd says it has attention no signal

Had the same problem. The solution: My remote has a button labeled "TV/VIDEO". I must have accidentally pushed this button so when I turned the TV on it was searching for the signal from a VIDEO source. It couldn't find the signal so it's programmed to automatically turn off if no signal is received. All I did to solve problem was I turned TV on and before it could turn off by itself I pushed the "TV/VIDEO" button on my remote to switch it back to receiving TV signal.

My son has pushed something on my LG remote and now i can only change channels with the up and down buttons. the rest when pushed locks out all buttons. what has he done. the remote controls a HDD set top...

I can give you a generic answer:

Look on the remote and see if there are buttons or a switch marked SAT/TV/DVD, or something like that. Make sure it is in the TV mode.

No volume

Normally when you have only one channel with audio the cause is usually SAP is turned on, either on the television or the cable or Sat elite box.
If you were pushing buttons on the remote, I would suggest that the SAP button is on the remote.
On a Samsung remote, the MTS button identifies this function. It may be labeled stereo.
Make sure the remote is in the TV mode to change or check on the TV.
It may also be a button on the remote for the Cable or Sat elite box. If not then you may have to search in the menu's of the Television or the boxes.
If the set is only two weeks old (the actual set, not how long you have owned it) then it probably has an ATSC turner labeled Air that will receive local HD by using rabbit ears. If the set is over 3 years old, it will not have this feature.
It's difficult to give a full de script explanation of a solution without knowing the model or configuration of the input signal.
If this does not help, respond to this post and I will reply.

Digital Audio moved from TV/SAT to DVD/LD

Using the remote control, push the left arrow until display shows Coax1 (or 2, depending on your setup), then push the up arrow to set it to TV/SAT.
Conversely, depending on your setup, you can push the left arrow to display Comp1 (or2) then push the up arrow to set the correct video setting-- DVD/LD I assume.
