I dont have vga memory gta saying you have enough video memory i want to download vga memory

VGA memory is the amount of physical memory on the video card. You would have to purchase and install a new card.

Always look at game requirements when buying and installing games. gl

Graphic card location inside an E520

The Dell 520's manual can be downloaded here. The PC's motherboard optionally has a VGA Video Connector (integrated) as shown on Page 1 of the manual. If yours is equipped with this option, there is no graphics card installed - it is built into the motherboard itself. It can not be removed or separated from the PC.

Your PC may have a a separate video card installed into one of the expansion slots on the motherboard. Page 1 also shows this installed below the USB 2.0 connectors as the PCI Express graphics card.

Here's an internal view:
4_17_2012_1_20_10_pm.jpg

The video card in the picture is driving two standard analog VGA monitors (blue cable connectors) through a DVI -> VGA adapter (white and clear devices) this is connected to the video output connectors. If you look closely at the edge of the PC in the picture (directly above the USB & network cables) you should be able to see an unused VGA Video Connector (integrated). Most computer BIOS systems will automatically disable any built in video capabilities of the motherboard when a separate video card is detected. Check the manual for additional info about these BIOS settings.

I hope this helps & good luck!

I unable to play a game because VGA compatible device not found in my computer & i want to install this. How can i install this explain it? & i am using XP

VGA compatible device not found represents that either your bios couldnt recognize the VGA hardware or your OS pnp service couldnt initialize the Hardware for VGA. Either these cases, we should look for the level of Hardware detection at which it fails. If its an onboard VGA device, you may need to replace it with an addon VGA card based on the Mother Board compatibility and then try install it again. This should solve the issue.

Good Luck.

Would like to find a bios manual to turn off the on board video so i can install a new video card

hi there,
NO need to turn off your on board video (VGA on Board), just plug your Video card in, plug your vga cable to it then install the driver.

Black Screen after installing new NVidia 9400GT

Put the old card back in, remove the old drivers and restart it in VGA mode.
You don't say what operating system you use, but XP & Vista you should be able to hit F8 before the windows splash screen to select VGA mode or Safe Mode.
Once you do that you should be able to put the new card in and start it in standard VGA mode then load the new drivers.

No video output from atapi dvd rw after OS reinstall, cd rw ok

>> VGA controller (vga compatible) error in the device manager

Windows has not found a "good" device-driver for the "integrated" video-controller on your motherboard; it is using the "generic" adapter.

So, trying to download the "SIS Mirage Graphics" software is an attempt by Windows to download a "specific" device-driver that matches your video-adapter hardware.

You might try installing an add-in video-card, to see if Windows will install the correct device-driver, and still boot-up correctly.

Otherwise, take the computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting about your boot-up problem.
