i had same problem with this oven at first (just installed last week). resetting it cleared it for a while and I got one (test) cycle out of each oven, but now nothing starts and I only get F9 message. also the clock and door switches are all screwy. I called mabe canada and they will dispatch a tech to investigate this as a "DOA" sigh.
Hello,F9 error means there is a problem with the lock switch.Check the wiring to the door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrongly).Check for stuck lock switch. Thanks
Hello,
If this is an Electrolux oven then F9 relates to micro-processor resets itself. To get this to reset fully its reccomended that you disconnect the unit from the electric supply and then reconnect then retry.
Unplug the range and then have someone hold in the door/light button while plugging in the unit again. The locking mechanism should reset itself. Let me know if I can help further.
after the gas stove have been on a while a loud whoosh that is a constant thing comes on. I thought it was getting ready to explode. I took seconds after we turned the gas off for the noise to stop. Any ideas what this coud be
Here's what F9 code means:
1. Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly
2. Door Lock Warning Check door lock circuit or Replace Clock
Try pressing and holding the door latch to unlock position and then press cancel for a few seconds. The latch should return to its original position.
You can disconnect the beeper so its not so annoying. turn oven off at breaker first. pull out oven a little so you can get at the top 2 screws on each side. The speaker is between the boards on the display module. look for a red wire connected to a gold disc like speaker. remove this wire and you won't hear the beeping anymore.
The F9 error message usually means that the oven temperature is above 600 degrees F. Check that the fan is operating. Make sure that it is not blocked. Make sure the vent areas are not blocked. There could also be a welded relay contact or high resistance in the oven sensor leads or connections.
