How to mix my voice track onto the music track properly?

How do i mix my voice track onto a separate instrumental track without them being applied one after the other. the intended product was to have both tracks mixed as if they were played synchronized. i try to time my words with audio tracks but when i paste the words onto the music, the track containing the words gets placed before the music... is there a proper way to sync both tracks instead of the words being played then the music?

Maybe you pressed on the "Mute and Lock" switch.
It should be one of the switches here:

I'm not sure which one is it, though... The only Sony programs I use is SoundForge and Vegas...

Why do folks purchase beats?

Beats are the background music of all tracks heard on the radio (everything barring the voice). They are frequently referred to as background music, beat instrumentals, instrumentals, beats, etc. The music industry has evolved dramatically in the previous ten years. Without a label, independent musicians are finding success all around the world. However, for people who aren't into music creation, purchasing Beats is the next best choice. It would help if you had a place to start whether you want to release an album or freestyle in your room. For beginners or amateurs, a great place to buy rap beats is at Grizzly Beatz. HOW DO I RECORD MY VOICE ON THE CTK-900 CASIO KEYBOARD?

Not according to the manual. It was not made that simple.

However, there are a few ways you can produce a recording of the music with your voice. Either mixing with the PC or Mac sound program, or using the output of the keyboard into a suitable mixer with preamp so you can get your levels correct- then record the output of the mixer to computer, or to tape.

Audacity is a wonderful little Sourceforge program to consider using along with the suite of programs and widgets Casio includes with the 900.

I have one of these mixers at a baseball stadium and we are having trouble getting the lyrics from an iPod to play loud enough. Music is fine, just barely any lyrics.

It sounds like the left and right stereo signals are being subtracted so you cant hear voice. This can also happen if not plugged in properly so that the ground part of the stereo mini plug is not making proper contact. Ensure the contact is good first.

Maybe stupid question....is it possible to record 8 separate mono tracks on this thing? I cannot seem to select only track 5, 6, 7, or 8. When I try to record onto 5, for example, it is impossible to not...

I believe you have to adjust the levels DURING the bounce operation... I don't think you can do that after.

I would consider using a computer based editing program to handle more than 4 tracks...

I recorded music on track 3 and a voice on track 4 but when ever I try to record to CD disk I only get music and no singing

You have to bounce your tracks to a sstereo pair of tracks. Have a look at this document:http://cms.rolandus.com/assets/media/pdf/MICRO_BR_Q_A.pdf I hope this helps.

Often when recording music CD's you must "finalize" the CD so that the header info of the tracks are written and available to the player.

DP 02 Info

Hi,

Can't help you with any books for the DP 02, but I can try to assist you in doing what you'd like to do.

The way I would attempt to do this, and there may be other ways but this is really the cleanest in my opinion, (assuming you have access to a computer) is to first rip the CD onto your computer into a series of wav files. Then you'll want to work with one song/CD track at a time. Then you'll need to use a WAV editor (Audacity is a good free one) to convert the wav file from STEREO into MONO wav file. You can then (using the USB import function on the DP-02) import the mono WAV file into the DP-02's fat partition. From there you can load it into the DP-02 by choosing which track to load it into. You'd then be able to play this track while recording your voice overdubs onto another track.

You'd then mix your song and you could burn onto a cd right from the DP-02 (or do as I do and export the mix as two mono wav files back onto your PC and, then convert them back to stereo and when you have all the songs you want for the CD burn a new CD from your PC).

You may have to consult the manual for how to use the USB import/export as well as how to record and mixdown, but I've tried to outline the basic process to do what you want which wouldn't be discussed int he manual.

Hope this helps.

Boss BR900CD External MIDI

I'm not totally familiar with that Boss Digital Audio Workstation but it sounds like what you want to do is record both the music and vocal track at the same time. If that's the case I believe you can push both "Line" and "Mic" input buttons (perhaps not exactly named as such) at the same time to record both simultaneously. Otherwise I would suggest copying the music to it's own stereo track (or two individual tracks, each panned opposite from one another to maintain stereo) and then record your vocal track separately. That way you can record several takes and edit down the best parts to one final track.
I hope that helps.
