How to change number of rings

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.

all you have to do is ring your service provider they will do it over the phone(activate it) then give u a number to ring to do your message too others and check the mail

go iin option under ringers cheak to see whats its on before voise mail picks up 1 3 6 10 ? isnt it in the optimns menu or if u have seprate unit for voise mail cheak setting on that beofre it grabbs the call does that help

Follow the Ring Time instructions in the "Using the Answering System" section beginning on page 15 of the manual.

If you are using an Active Voice product (typical w/ NEC) you need to change the hours of operation on the voice mail system. "Night Mode" only changes the ringing characteristics of the phone system and where calls ring, not the greetings that play on the voice mail. The voice mail plays a particular greeting (Day/Night/Holiday) based on the time of day specified in the schedule. The system administrator for the voice mail would have to make this change.

This happens when the number of rings to answer of the provider voicemail is less than the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. For example: if your provider voicemail rings to answer is set for 3 rings and the answer machine is set for 4 rings then the voicemail answers before the 4th ring, therefore the answer machine will never get a message. I would call the service provider's customer service number and request they increase the rings to answer above the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. If you don't want voicemail to answer any calls(when your line is busy or when the answer machine is turned off) ask your service provider to disable voicemail.

You are asking questions about your Toshiba phone system and the voice mail system attached. You could have one of several different Toshiba phone systems and several different voice mails.

The system has timers for things like "No answer transfer timer" and also rules for what it does at that point. (transfer to voice mail box, transfer to voice mail branch, transfer to the operator.. etc..) It can get very complicated. Most likely you are just dealing with the no answer transfer timer for your specific phone port but even just changing that can be very complicated. The KX-T7456 is a proprietary system phone. You have a Panasonic phone system and a voice mail, both separate items with their own part number. Your phone can work on several different systems and use different voice mail so your first step is to determine the part numbers from the system and voice mail. Then you will need a "programming" manual or possibly "administrator's manual" NOT a "user guide" for at least your voice mail and maybe for the system as well.
