Your spark switch is tripped for some reason. Unplug it for a few days and let it dry out. (sometimes people spill or spray things on them). Otherwise you'd have to call for service.

How do I find a foot pedal for a Viking Vanessa model 5610 with a power cord?

The part is no longer available from Viking. However, you might be able to buy a used one on ebay or from sewing machine parts. However, you might try contacting some of the Viking stores to determine if they have a used one from a machine they use for parts. You can send me a private email and I'll give you some Viking dealers you can contact. email: [email protected]

Husqvarna Viking 980E power will not stay on.

Before you start messing around with splicing cords together etc and possibly wasting more money you need to find where the problem is.
Any reasonable electrician will be able to pinpoint where the fault lies, it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or loose wire in the 3 pin plug, or the fuse in the machines transformer. The transformer is accessed underneath the machine behind a plate held with four screws.
You do not need Viking any reasonable sewing machine guy can sort the problem.

I have a Viking vgic365-4G gas range. I recently replaced the spark module, the ignitors for the oven and the griddle, and the spark ignitors for the burners. The problem I am having is only one of the...

Hello,

their is one of two things causing that,

1) the switch that supplies power to the spark module when the burner is turned on is bad...its located on the shaft of the burner valve thier is one switch for each knob so counting the oven and the burners their is 5 (the oven is different from the surface burners) to check those switches what needs to be done is remove the knobs then the face panel so ya can get to the knobs.

No is where is gets a bit complcated if ya dont follow all procedures....the knob must turned on to check so gas will be flowing and ya must light the gas using a match or raw gas will eneter the kitchen...or if possible temporarly turn off gas supply to the unit.also POWER MUST BE DISCONNECTED and then with power off and the burner lit manually once turned on ya would need to check each switch to have continuity,if any of the switches does not have continuity when measured with a ohm meter that switch will be bad

2) the igniter is cracked so power is coming from spark module yet since its cracked power is jumping out before it gets the where it lights the burners.

Viking 6 burner, gas stove top. When the back leftburner is turned on, it continually clicks. How can we fix this?

Hello,

The electrode (spark plug) for that burner is not telling the spark module the burner is lit and go ahead and turn off the spark. That electrode and the wiring on it need to be replaced, from that burner back to the spark module.

Plug sparked when moved and now no heat and timer doesn't work what is a pig tail? how do we replace

Since the electric plug sparked when you plugged it in, I would check out the dryer main power cord or pigtail. Use a multimeter or ohm meter to check the dryer cord for continuity. This will show you whether the dryer cord is good or not. No continuity = bad cord. You can also use the meter to check the electrical block where the dryer cord is connected. Try these things first and let me know what you find out. We'll go from there, okay? Hope this helped and best wishes.

Viking Gas Burner issue?

is this a sealed burner unit? if so the burner base (the heavy brass part under the burner cap) has to be sitting just right. you will notice that it has holes around the the sides make sure that where your ignitor sparks to it that it aligns with the lowest hole on the burner base. if you have a great flame all around the burner after checking what i mentioned i would replace the spark module. if it continues to drive you crazy with the noise - just unplug it. the burners will continue working fine without power.

Spark ignition continues to spark viking rangetop

The ignition module has a feature where if there is no flame it will continue try it re-ignite by sparking. If there is flame then it will shut off. Try using a mild abrasive cloth or sand paper to gently clean the contact points between the igniters and burners, A green scratch pad (scotch-brite)works great for this.

If the metal is clean and the problem still persists please have a tech verify the problem as you may need a new ignition module.
