When I plug it in the red led light blinks one time and thats it. Checked fuse, it was fine. I can get the backilght to come on if i unplug and replug in different wiring harnesses from board to board. But no picture appears when i get the lights on and also when i get the backlight to stay on the tv will not do anything at that point. The red led stays solid red during this period of time and power button will not work, and i have to unplug power cord to make it go off. Then have to plug it back in and mess with those harnesses to get lights to come back on. Personally I think it may be a transformer that just sounds like it it struggling to function on (which ever board has the most square and doughnut shaped transformers out of all the other boards) the main power supply board. I guess my question is..... Is there a way to test those individually or could I replace one myself ?(i solder well) Or I took good pics of the board im talking about and where I think the problem is, if you would like to see them or whatever i can do im willing to do if you think you can help....thx
LCD type TV's ought to be the most reliable type, but these Polaroids
all have early failures of the power supply. Only way to fix it
is to replace the whole electronic module. Call Polaroid cust.
service and be persistant because they are used to abuse from angry
customers. Well, it is possible to replace the elec. caps in the
power supply and maybe the FETs, but us experts are kinda keeping those
details for the paying customers.
Good Luck
