Your print solenoid probably has a broken cap. There are some companies that sell the "kit" with instructions on how to replace the cap.

How do I make key srrike harder on an IBM Wheelwriter 6? The print is to light on carboned forms.

If it prints well on 20# bond and the carbons the problem may well be the paper the forms is printed on. Otherwise the print solenoid cap may be cracked. You can try a Lexmark Brand #1380999 for hard to image paper. There are some circular plastic shims on the front side of the solenoid, remove one and it will print darker. If you need the solenoid cap we bsell them with instructions and shipping for 20.00.
