My problem began about a week ago and I wasn't aware until my friend asked me why I was sending picture messages with no pictures. I wasn't, I was sending regular text. I went in and looked at my outgoing messages and they were all sent as multimedia or slideshow. Problem is I never attacted anything to them and most were replies anyway. My question is: what is happening and how can I fix this so that they're just regular text messages?
Delete everything in your inbox and outbox. That solves the problem, I promise. Apparently this is very common with Razrs.
Clear all messages (incoming and outgoing) and restart the phone. I just tried this and it worked for me.
Erase all the messages. In and out box. Make sure to restart the phone. Simply shut it off and then turn on, IT WORKS.
Good Luck Go Blackhawks
The master reset doesnt work you have to delete all the messages
Do a master reset of the phone settings this should correct the txt msg.

Started sending multimedia messages last week instead of text messages. Friends that cannot receive picture messages cannot read them, this sucks. Went to AT&T store guy played with the phone and could not get the default message changed from multimedia to just regular text message.
all texts are sent as slideshows. arrrrrggghh.
i recieve texts but i cant like text back it says "unable to send".
Same problem. I get it after I've responded to a picture messages sent to me by antoher person, or if I have responded to a picture message I've sent someone. It buggs the holy living **** outta me.
Please help!!!!
For no apparent reason my text messages began appearing as multimedia.
This started happening to me in the middle of a "conversation" I was having. One text I sent normally, and 5 minutes later, in reply to the reply of my initial message, my text went out as a multimedia message. All my texts since have gone out as multimedia messages. So frustrating!
The Motorola E815 interprets such messages as "Slideshow", which is apparently its name for a multimedia message. I am currently sitting next to a friend with a Razr.
Cleaning out all messages without rebooting did not solve the problem.
Cleaning out all messages AND RESTARTING fixed it. :-)
Bull, i deleted all my important message for nothing....this is effed up..
