Blank screen

make sure the battery is fully charged, then disconnect from your computer. Wait a while for the device to cool and try turning it on again. Mine took a few tries but once it sat for a while it didnt fight me again.

Sansa e260 just stopped working :( I tried the

Try inserting a(n) SD chip into the player and then try restarting. If it gets stuck on the refresh database screen, plug it into your computer. It's the only thing that unfroze my e280.

Please help me!

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Common problem...yet no working solution...

I think there's a capacitor that holds a charge for the blue-ring-of-death. The fix is to hold the menu button down for about 30 seconds (blue ring disappears) and continue holding for about 15 more seconds (or until re-boot). The additional time is required to discharge the capacitor.
If that fails, there is a safe-mode: place the device in hold, and press the mic and menu buttons at the same time. This usually doesn't apply to the blue-ring problem, but it may help.

Sansa e260 problem

It might just need to be reformatted. If you don't care about deleting and redownloading everything with songs and videos and pictures, too, then reformat it. Just plug the mp3 player into your computer and right click on the icon in the MY COMPUTER window, and click on FORMAT. It should come to a new window and click on start format. If this doesn't work, then call me to help you any further. Ask for Maxwell at 1-(239)-945-0583.
