Try removing the IFIT board and ribbon cable to the main board. The IFIT seems to be a problem in alot of the treadmills. It worked on mine.

If it has ifit remove the ribbon cable to the main board. It made mine work perfect.

Sound like function pad or upper console I don't know if you can purchase the function pad, but you may have to purchase the entire console and that may quite expensive.

Has the safety key been inserted? It sound like that what is missing for it to work if that the case call Iconfitness @ 1-800-999-3756.

If console lights up but doesnt respond when buttons are pressed, you more than likely have a console problem. Key pad issue would be my best guess.
