Samsung HLP4663w. After replacing the Ballast, Bulb and Color Wheel (color wheel came without the CCA values and the Actuator and Index delay values) we still have the same color and picture problems. Do we have to replace the DMD board?? or is there another problem. Or are we being duped by the person that sold us the color wheel they telling us that we do not need the CCA values and the Index delay and Actuator values to correct and fix the TV. Please help!!

Jumper has been removed, Index delay is 47 but what about the Actuator value? we have put ours on 113 right now! The TV has the very same problem that told us to replace the color wheel in the first place.

We did all that, still the same problem, the place where we bought the color wheel from says their wheel is not faulty, our TV has other issues, sounds like we were duped!!

If the picture is blue green there is a jumper to be removed on the dmd board on connector cn810--the index delay should be between 40 and 50 for optimum color --or adjusted for best flesh tone also in the options the cw setting should be set for cw2

Replaced my Samsung HLP4663W color wheel and the

The jumper if it has it usually causes the color to look funny blue instead of normal.

It is located on the DMD board--the metal box on the light engine where the two plugs from the color wheel are.

It will be in a small opening on the metal shield that covers it--small and rectangular in shape--it has a small metal tab across it--it jumps two pins--

if it is there with a hemostat or small needle nose pliers pull it carefully out and see what you have--The CCA adjustments are done in the TECH MENU--look to see first if the jumper is there and remove it.

A lot of places that sell the wheel do not tell people about this.

If this has helped you rate this solution, as I do this here for FREE.

Samsung HLP4663W Black Solarization

The speed of the color wheel needs to adjusted or the CCA values. Both are found in the service menu . If you paid a company to fix the TV, call them and tell them that they forgot to perform these alignments. If you did the repair yourself, you'll have to call around for a price to have a Samsung service center perform these adjustments. I don't recommend consumers access the service menus of modern TVs because one wrong button push and you may cause irrepairable changes to the TV's proper operation.

About the color wheel option

Hello Brandon B,
look on the side of the unit there will be a sticker with Model number, serial number and Version code. The version code will tell me what color wheel you need. There maybe some CCA adjustment you need to do using the remote in Service mode. Let me know what the version number. We will go from there. You can contact www.interactiverepair.com they will walk you through the installation process

CCA Values For Samsung TV

With the TV off, you need to push

Mute-1-8-2-Power very fast. just wait and it will show up.

If the tv is on press Power-mute-1-8-2-Power and it will show up as well. Good luck, I am still trying to fix the CCA values myself. When you get in the Service Menu, just use the arrows to get around and to get back use the menu key.....

Samsung hlp4663wx/xaa (after replacing the color wheel)shadowing

If the color wheel you replaced was the BP96-00674A, it would have come with the proper cca adjustments for that particular wheel. You must enter the service menu and reset the cca's for proper color.

Samsung HLP4663W color wheel replacement

When I removed the jumper wire the screen color problems I experienced after changing the color wheel were fixed completely. I did not need to reset the CCA values (which came with my color wheel, on a separate sticker). If you have a black bracket blocking access to the jumper wire, as I did, you can access the jumper wire by removing the fan shown just to the left of the yellow and white sticker; there are two screws attaching the fan to the chassis below it. Next, remove the two screws that hold the silver clamshell (the housing for the circuit board) halves together. These screws are right behind where the fan just was, on either side of the protruding fins. They each have a spring under the screw head. You can then pull the visible half of the silver housing forward (with the bracket attached). You will then have access to the entire circuit board. Look for CN810 - it is located right behind where that bracket just was when it was all put together. Pull the tiny black plastic part (that has the jumper wire) off of the pins. Then reassemble the housing and put the fan back on.
