Hi Some of the old Estros had Cosmic pumps and that was one of their problems. You can switch out the old Cosmic for a Ulka pump. There would be some modifications but not much.

Why is gas pouring from the vent line when I go to start it

You don't say what kind of bike or give any other details so I will go with the obvious stuff first, I am guessing you might not ride it often or let it sit up for awhile. Gas pouring from the vent indicates that a float valve is stuck or the needle valve or seat seal has dried up and has fuel being forced around them as the fuel pump pressurizes the carbs. It is dangerous to run the engine with overflow as you could have a fire so your remedy will require you to pull the carbs to fix the problem.

Vapor lock when the engine is runnig. How do I fix this issue

"Vapor lock" is a condition that occurs when fuel becomes heated to the point of evaporation. If your vehicle is truly vapor locking, it means that something hot is coming in contact with your fuel line somewhere, overheating the gasoline to the point of it vaporizing. This is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. If you truly do have a vapor lock condition, find out where the fuel is becoming heated and fix that condition.
On a 1997 Jaguar XK8, it is FAR more likely that you have a bad fuel pressure regulator or a bad ICU.

I have a starbucks barista athena that has a vapor lock. How do I fix this?

It's easy to break the vaporlock on an Athena.

  1. Power the machine off and let it cool (20-30 minutes is plenty)
  2. Place a mug under the steam wand and open the steam valve all the way. If there's residual pressure, let it release the pressure before proceeding
  3. Power on the machine and wait for a steady stream of water from the steam wand.
  4. Close the steam valve and you should be good to go!

ESTRO VAPORE / Thermostats verification ?

Using an ohms meter, disconnect one of the leads and check the reading across the terminals. Make sure power is off when checking resistance.

No flow from EcoWater undersink filtration unit. Flow stopped so we changed two carbon filters and one sediment filter. Still almost no flow.

The water storage has probably lost its charge. A 3 gallon tank should have 7 psi pre-charge pressure. Tank has to be totally empty to set pre-charge. Turn water off to RO, pump air into tank to force all the water out at faucet, turn tank valve off and relieve pressure until 7psi charge.

ESTRO VAPORE

I just took mine apart, and put it back together. Of the three holes for the screws, there are two smaller and one bigger hole. Align the larger hole on the filter and the base, and the tiny plastic bit and the spring go in to the larger, along with the hollow and larger screw.

Estro Profi - Green Light not coming on

It is vapor lock possibly,

1. Soak the steam wand in some hot water for a few minutes
2. Using a cup at the bottom run the brew function and open up the steamer valve until it starts pulling water through. May take a bit of time. Be careful with the steam.

Hope this helps
my white profi of 12 years has been acting up and will not even turn on.

Good luck
