Number 7, 8 & 9 key is not working

Nokia 6600 keypad/key problem! I hope I've put this in the right section, as I'm not sure if this is a hardware of software problem I've posted it here, hope I'm right!

I bought a Nokia 6600 recently with a joystick that didn't go down. I replaced the keypad pcb, as there was a small tear in the ribbon at the bottom of the old keypad PCB. This fixed the joystick problem, but I now realise there is another problem with the phone!

The numbers 7,8, and 9 all display 1,2, and 3 when you press them. The '0' key seems to clear whatever's on the screen, so I suspect it's acting like the red end call key. It does this with both keypad PCBs installed, so I think it's another problem. Would this be the small gold contacts on the bottom of the phone, a software problem, or some other gremlin in the works?

I've had a quick search and someone suggested *#7370# to reset the phone, and someone else said it could be a keypad IC that's gone - any other suggestions? I'm at work tonight so can't get to the phone until tomorrow morning, and as the '0' key isn't working properly I can't check which software version the phone is running

1.Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad Together.

2.Turn your device on while you are pressing the three buttons.

3.You should now see "Formatting " on the Screen! Leave the buttons now.

open up your phone you'll need phone screw here.than you can check keypad connector,clean up with an pencils eraser(its safety) usually keypad or keypad light problem because off dirty connector.good luck.

it is a keypa alfunction my dear, you cannot repair it by youself, you need a technician on that fon,, and tell about the malfunctioning of keypad

if only one key is malfucntion' i think your phone keypad flex is the prob. Or maybe the phone keypad and connector is lost contact or maybe is dusty or moist,

if you know how to Dismantle it' you can clean this dusty contact...

You can reformat your unit.. just follow this instructions. just off the fone then, press together the key no. 3 Astiris and phone in.. press in sustained position then turn on the power switch then you can see your fone is starting to refurmat...
