I am having a problem with my Samsung YP-T10 mp3 player. Ive been trying to update the software but I just don't know how. I really need someone's help. Ive downloaded the software but after that, I don't know what to do.I have the Samsung media studio which should update it automatically but when I connected my mp3 player, it said if I wanted to update it. I selected to update the firmware but I didn't see any difference. It had the same blue tooth menu(nothing had changed). Please reply as soon as possible. I will be very happy if you do so. This drove me crazy, too! The trick is that you have to search the download section of Samsung.com with your very specific model number. You can't just use T10 or T10JAW just because that's the example they used on the website. For example, mine was YP-T10JAUY. Save the zip file to your desktop, then extract the files to your desktop (doesn't matter what folder name as long as you remember where the file are). Next, open a Windows Explorer window by right-clicking the "Start" button and select "Explore". Obviously, your T10 should be connected already. You'll see the T10 on the left-side window. HERE'S THE REAL TRICK: you have to get the T10 files to show up in the RIGHT side window. Click on the T10 to expand the internal folders (still in the left side window), then in the left window click on either "Data" or "Internal Storage"--which one you see will depend on whether you use Windows Media Player 10 or 11. Click on that on the left side and it should open the right side Explorer window to the files in the Data or Internal Storage folder. This is where you have to put the firmware. On the right side.
You can't drag-drop the firmware update files into the T10 in the left-side window. This is NOT clear in the firmware update instructions that you see in the new manual that goes with the new firmware. After you copy the firmware to the T10, you just disconnect from the computer and when you turn it on, it should upgrade the firmware.
Those YouTube "how to upgrade firmware" videos don't describe this...a HUGE oversight. None of the other various supposed how-to explanations said this stuff either. JEEZ! It's not that hard if someone would just explain it correctly! I wasted HOURS trying to figure this out. I hope it helps you.

What? that's basic use of windows. If you can't do that you should use a mac. c'mon!
You can also download the firmware upgrade from the samsung website, which is way easier than looking for it on emodio
just go to samsung.com >> experience >> downloads >> search for your device >> click on it >> firmware upgrade
and you go on from there to download it into your player
What you do is just go to the root directory and drag n' drop the files there
My headphones got damaged and any time i insert other headphones it doesn't work
There is special software to use when doing the firmware upgrade which is "FWDN"(Firmware Downloade telechips.) and "VTCDRV"(driver) this one is only for service tech use.It will do firmware upgrade (T10.ROM & T10.rsc).This one is for T10 & S5

You have to update the driver of you player.
Click on START menu and RUN.
Type in devmgmt.msc and click ENTER.
Now you Device Manager will pop up. Look for your player under Other Devices or Portable Devices
Once you find it, right click on it and select Update Driver (make sure the installer disc is in your CD drive).
It should work fine after that.

i have used the disk proved and it wont show my mp3 i have tryed up dating the software and the firewall but still wont read my mp3 player . the media studio plays my music but dont see my mp3

However, I don't seem to have a file called 'data' and the file called Ãnternal storage' seems to be locked and I can't copy/drop any files here.
I do have a folder called 'system' which is where I've put the update files, however it doesn't seem to have done anything.
