SAME ISSUE - 32" Polaroid HD widescreen LCD TV/DVD combo: was working fine for months now the blue screen appears with 'no signal', some channels the picture appears for afew seconds and then goes to blue screen with 'no signal'.  I checked the connection and get great channels on other tvs to the same connection.  Checked input, reset settings, changed cables, etc.  Please help!

I have the same problem. I managed to get rid of the blue screen by going to Menu > Options > Blue Screen > Off. Now I can actually see all the channels, although the "No Signal" bubble appears over the top of the picture after a second or so. However, I don't have any sound. Also, the tuning doesn't seem to 'hold' - ie if I turn the TV off and back on again, the picture on all channels is jumpy, as if the TV was not correctly tuned. Auto programme fixes this, but then the TV returns to its silent "No Signal" state.

I was having same problem, and think I got lucky and found fix.

Try unplugging the TV and waiting 30 seconds, then plug back in.

You will likely get blue screen with "No Signal".

Go to Menu, then scroll down to "Setup". Select "Factory Reset" then hit "Yes."

This did it for me. Wish you all luck.

My Polaroid 32" HDTV just recently acted up: it has loss it's HD channels (ie 2.1, 2.2, etc) all of a sudden. The TV is set to "Air" as supposed to "Cable" setting even though it is connected to cable that only has two cable channel. It was fine before and had set the TV several time to rescan for channels and it was perfectly fine. I tried several times to scan and even resetted to its several manufacture setting and had no luck what so ever. I know for the fact that if when it scans for channels it only receives those channels that are most clear and strong, while it leaves out those that may have weak signals. I never had problems recovering those HD channels but now I have all analogs insteads. It's driving me insane because I hate the fact that these locals channels have HD and I only get their standard analog signals. I know that this is not the best brand of TV out there and it worked. My TV is feeding off cable with limited cable broadcast and should still work even though it is set on "Air" as supposed to cable.

Please let me know if anyone of you have encountered the same problem(s), and if you solve the mystery. Would some please tell me what does "PIP" on the remote means and what and how to use it. Thanks in advance.

PS I woudn't be able to return this TV back, the store that I bought this just filed Chapter 11. :(

So, I couldn't get the tuner to work (tried everything). Eventually I realised the cheapest solution would be to buy a digital set top box, and use this as the tuner instead of relying on the one built-in to the TV. Works fine.
But yes, I won't be buying another Panasonic in a hurry.

Don't ever buy a Polaroid television again, manually reset factory settings via Menu button. You must do this each time you turn on the television when it was off.

Will NOT acknowledge one channel

This problem was already posted by someone else and they were having the same issue as you.. they said that they contacted FOX engineers via email and they emailed them back stating there was a problem on there end and with in the next day the channel started to show up on the Olevia television.
Seems like FOX has changed there frequencies and some television were having trouble picking them up.. depending in the area..you might want to try contacting them in regards to your problem to see what they suggest..

Digital channels have stopped working, only blue screen!

Try resetting the TV:

  1. Switch on TV and switch to any analogue channel.
  2. On the TV: Press and hold the MENU button.
  3. Menu screen will appear on the display.
  4. Do not release the MENU until the menu screen disappears.
  5. TV will go blank for about 60 seconds and then display initial set up screen.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-tune the TV.
If this does not work then the problem is likely to be a loose ribbon cable or main small signals board inside the TV.

My remote control for my polaroid tv wont change channels up and down.the channel button isnt working for the tv.everything else is working.

You may be able to program your cable box remote to control your TV in addition to your cable box. When they initially set up your cable box they probably left a pamphlet giving you instructions on how to program your remote. I'm not sure why you can't change the TV channels manually but this may give you a work-around.

Channel setup

You will have to run the Autoprogram menu function from the menu. Here are the steps

Select Autoprogram in the Installation menu.
Use the cursor right to enter the Autoprogram menu.

Press the green button “Start” to start autoprogramming.
The menu screen disappears and the progress of autoprogramming is displayed. The progress bar indicates the number of analog and digital TV channels found. (Also digital channels via CableCARD are being programmed.

Frozen picture on LG LCD 37"

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable
