Try this, unplug all cables from the set, switch off at the mains, wait a couple of minutes, then switch the power on, and turn on your set do not put any cables back in, you should get a snowy picture up when you turn it on as normal. if you do replace turn the set back off plug all of the cables back in and turn the set back as normal, you should have a normal picture. post back if you dont.

How can I fix the picture on my TV screen that is white with faint image.

Check the aerial is ok, try another aerial on the set. It is unusual for FP tvs to have a bad picture. If the aerial is tested as being good try resetting the set to the factory default and then retune the cannels. I am assuming that you are receiving the signal through an aerial and not through cable/satellite dish.
The reset process may not not resolve the issue in which case it is probably time to get the services of a qualified technician. The fact that the picture stays on channel probably indicates that it is not a tuner error but something in the display ciruitry .

There is a Video problem with my Samsung LCD. The sound is clear but Colour Balance Setting is disturb. The Colour is mixing with each other. Can You tell me the procedure for My TV Setting?

Before you set up try a reset

Resetting The Picture And Sound To The Factory Settings
as far as advanced settings are concerned, set the contrast backlight and brightness so you can see the best blacks without it looking too milky, the best whites so you can discern the whites and they aren't clipped, then look at colour balance if it looks wrong when you turn the colour off.

Cannot receive tv channels

if you are using a cable box tried to reset the box first let see if you can get channel. if you are just only using an areal antenna tried to make an adjustment in the antenna positioning which have poor reception then tried to look in other channel if you can receive local channel. if just only white raster like snow with no picture the cause could be the tuner get bad.

Digital tv tuner not displaying picture

. Try putting you tv set to channel 3 or 4. Try your tv in all modes. Check the back also to see if in the right spots with the wires. Check your channel scan status, try it on anntena and try it on cable, run channel scan on both. good luck. Try vcr wires if cable wires dont work. vcr wires are yellow red and white. Try another cable cord sometimes they get old. Try looking at your remote and setting it to tv.

Trying to connect Sharp VCA310X VCR to TEAC TV CTM5140; am only getting blue screen with audio; no picture! Have tried every possible combo with the AV cables (red, white, yellow).

I would suggest trying to change the channel, either on the tv or the vcr. Sometimes, if the channel is one off, you will get sound but not a picture. On the back of the vcr, there SHOULD be a switch to change it to either channel 3 or channel 4. You must match this up with the channel your tv is set for. I hope this helps, but if not, I hope you can get it figured out soon. Good luck! Der Strom

White/Grey screen with non-HD channels

I removed the HDMI cable and connected with component video and rca audio. No more white screen.

Picture quality looks good. I don't know if it's as good as HDMI, but then I don't need to reboot the TV three times to get to teh on-demand menu... Grrrrr....

I am trying to contact Toshiba on this as well. I have seen several reports of this problem on the web.

Milky white picture

Could be a bad resistor on the screen amp board causing excessive brightness. this will wash out the picture and cause fine diagonal lines in the picture. Without seeing it this is only a guess.
