I need help

The device is supposed to refresh each time in case you put in a new memory card or added additional files. That's not the problem - this is: There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.

It keeps saying that its refresing database and is not loading

first try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Refresh database error

Used the Firmware Updater to get the latest firmware and this updated my Sansa E260 player which was in Recovery mode. The player then completed the refresh database process. No data was lost. The player is now functiining correctly.]

SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

First switch your USB control to MSC. Then turn off your mp3 player and activate the hold icon. Then turn it on while holding the record button with hold icon still being activated. then it will go to recovery mode. Now plug your sandisk into the computer and wait until it says RECOVERY COMPLETE...PLEASE DISCONNECT or when it just says for you to disconnect. This worked on my sandisk, and it hopefully work for you.
