I hope this helps. Since you bought the TV new, you may want to talk to the vendor. The remote should have been included (open-box or floor models might not have the remote).

Hello; If you bought an original Kenmark remote for your model # , there is no need to program anything. Unless you have a TV problem or got a bad new remote, It should work right out of the box. Also try new batteries. John

Each manufacturer of universal remote controls have their own codes for different brands of TV or DVD and so forth, usually a code list is provided by the manufacturer along with the remote when purchased new. Or you will need to go to the remote control manufacturer's website and look up your particular remote control to see if a list of codes is available.

you do not give the model number for a better diagnosis
the most common cause of this problem is the invertor or at worse the screen its self.
If it is a lvd 163 you can purchase a new invertor from sales@tvs-services or call 01245392539

This model does not have a programed remote and should work the tv staight from the box.
