JVC GY-HD110U Camcorder Logo
Posted on Feb 20, 2008

Pixel I bought a new GY-HD110U last summer. Everything has been great... but. I just bought a 32" high def monitor, and now I can see every single pixel of the image. I found out that there is a pixel that is allways white in my camcorder. I have been very careful with this camcorder, I've clean the lens with the proper materials, etc, and I can't get rid of this pixels. It looks like a electronic problem. Does anybody knows about this. Thanks, A

The camera have a service menu that fixed it

first you must be in 24p mode for this operation

press and holding simultaneous the focus assist button(the one on the camera body)and the menu/status button for at least 5 seconds.

you see and advanced menu where the second line says CAMERA 1.

move the cursor down and push the shutter wheel to enter that menu and now you have a list with the six item being PIXEL COMPEN.

move down and select that item, the word CANCEL blinks.

change it to EXECUTE and push again. it takes about 10 seconds or so to perfom the operation and then tells you to power off the camera.

YOU ARE DONE!!

JVC GY-HD110U won't turn on with battery power only AC power.

There is an issue with the a small yellow part of the AC plug breaking off in the camera. The camera thinks it's still plugged in, so it won't run on the battery. If you can get a small tool to fit into the inlet you can break the piece up and pull the parts out. I haven't had any luck with it, but read others doing it.

Lcd tv with wrong color on one pixel

LCD screens occasionally have what are called "Stuck pixels". There is a tutorial in wikihow which might help you out here:

Try that and see if it helps. Stuck pixels are actually a slighty common problem.

Mitsubishi LCD High Def TV

If you bought locally, I would take back to the store and swap it out. If you bought it on the internet, contact UPS or who ever delievered it and contact the company you bought it from. Save everything, box, receipt, packing slip, etc..
