How can I get windows media player to work on hp proliant ml 150 g5?

  • Anonymous Feb 05, 2010

    the machine is fully updated but it does not have an external sound card and I can't see if the motherboard has an integrated sound card. Can I then install any sound card driver (without installing a card) or is there one specific for this machine. I have another server2003 machine that has been previously running media player just fine even though it neither has a pci-sound card. However since I formatted that last machine, it also cannot run windows media player...

    actually the server is fully updated but does not have a pci sound card. But I assume that it should however be able to play sound files if it gets the right sound driver installed (without having to install a pci sound card). Do you know how I could do that?

How can install windows xp in proliant ml 150

Hello,

As long as the server meets the XP minimum spec, you can insert the XP boot disc and reboot your server. As long as the CD/DVD is bootable, you should be ableto install XP without incident.

Good Luck,

My HP ProLiant ML350 G5 failed to boot to Windows. After showing Windows 2003 Server, blank screen comes up

There was a critical HP ProLiant ML350 G5 ROM BIO upgrade dated on 17 Aug 2010.
Please bookmark the bio update link HERE for reference.

====
Check your monitor Hz and display resolution setting.
Did you change any video driver or resolution before reboot?
If all else fail then swap in a simple S-VGA card and let Windows 2003 to sort out the 640X480 display mode.

Hp proliant ml350 g5 vga drivers for windows 2000 professional

Download the latest Proliant Support Pack from HP's web site. This will update the drivers for everything on the server at once.

Just go to hp.com and click the link for "Support & Drivers" at the top, then click the radio button to download drivers and enter ML350 into the text box. Select the G5 from the list and then select your OS. The PSP will be near the bottom of the page. The display driver will be close to the top if you just want to update it.
